Just EMP them and overload their circuits. That should take care of them. Then only the organic parts will be functioning, but I assume those parts are a minority.

I don't think they have seperate organic parts exactly. I think its more likely  they turn people to goo and  they combine that with elements to form some kind of hybrid metal.   Take away the water in most life forms and u get mostly carbon, which forms the hardest substances in existence which sounds pretty much like what the body of a Reaper should be made of.But I think the main point is to take the 'essence' of a species. The soul, spirit, whatever, which is why the Reapers only target sapient species and don't genocide the crap out of algae planets.  But I really believe the Reapers will NOT be beaten in ME3.  I think the game will end with them being driven from the Earth, and subsequent games will continue to deal with the Reapers. Most of the fleet is attacking Earth, but there are THOUSANDS of ships all over the galaxy.  Not even shep can beat that:(

I think the key to the Reapers' defeat will be...

THE APOCALYPTIC POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!

I doubt they would rip off Signs. Who would want their work associated with M. Night Shyamalan?

No I wouldn't go ballistic. I would track down all the people who thought it was a good idea stick them in a room and force them to watch Signs repeatedly until their eyes fall out, then politely ask them if they thought ripping off a film on such a flimsy premise was a good idea for one of the best if not the best video game trilogy of recent years.

I myself prefer the magic of MAGNETS :D

If it can screw up my monitor, it can screw up a Reaper!

Actually, all Shepard has to do is find six magical ponies, each imbued with one of the Elements of Harmony: Magic, Laughter, Loyalty, Kindness, Honesty and Generosity. Together, these ponies will defeat the Reapers through Pony Magic. Sorry if I spoiled ME3 for everybody...

Nope.

First of all the fact that War of the Worlds was referenced before Signs is just... Wow.

Second, have you played Mass Effect/seen ME3? The Reapers obviously aren't afraid of water.

No, it's actually going to be that while the Reapers are on Earth the plants will release a toxin that will make them kill themselves because they're a threat to the planet.

Yes, Liara will summon the Lifestream of the galaxy and destroy them.

Actually water should be fairly common in the universe so the reapers would've developed a defense, if you look at it every current citadel species seem to drink so, yeah... hell no.

the reapers who land in the Middle East will witness the crisis still unresolved and as a result nobody paying attention to them ... they'll just leave out of frustration.

in China they'll be turned into an attraction pack and will leave out of embarrassment.

in India, they'll step over a cow and cause massive uproar which will destroy them.

in NA, they'll land in a Wall Mart parking lot , watch all the obese pushing gigantic carts and panic over blocked reaper arteries.

in Europe they'll fall asleep listening to a EU conference.

threat removed.

i wouldn't go ballistic, i'd just stand so proud of the human race.

I'm just hoping it's not an Independence Day/Heretic Station-style "computer virus" solution. THAT would suck.

I can't stress enough how much I agree with this.

Seriously, when are they going to bring the Elements of Harmony back up? They're in the first episode and then they disappear, never to be mentioned again. What happened to all the weird jewelry?
