Would you go ballistic if the secret to defeating the Reapers was . . .?

I can see this happening...They'll devise this plan: All Reaper will be invading planets, while a Reaper Boss (who controls other Reapers) is in space... Diversions will be made to occupy time, while Shepard and co. will fly into space and fight the Reaper with the Normandy! ...Or...they'll find a way inside the Reaper and destroy it from within...

I'm pretty sure Bioware won't do a computer virus or common human cold virus kills the Reapers. The next worst possible scenario would be this ultra powerful ancient race of 100's, 1000's or 10's of thousands of ship all being tied to a central mothership.

Ya know, Shep used super secret special Normandy stealth version 2.0, runs past all the Reaper ships, and defeats the mothership reaper that shuts down all the other ships.

I'm actually interested in how they are going to pull this off, while avoiding the above 3 scenarios.

Aye it would be rather ridiculous. Water is something needed for a lot of lifeforms; not just humans, the idea that it would kill those robots while it is so common would be rather obnoxious. Reapers aren't as strong as they first appeared (they can be killed, we bought time by investigating into their technology and they can not isolate us system by system as they normally do), so I don't really see what reason BioWare has to come up with a deus ex machina like water or bacteria. It wouldn't make sense in my opinion and is also not necessary.

That said, I'd be interested to see how the Reapers will respond to a possibility of defeat. Will they accept defeat and surrender? Are the Reapers truly in union? How will BioWare shape their motives (if they ever do)?

I would go ballistic if ME3 went War of the World's on us, and sheppard returned to Earth only to find the Reaper's had been killed by the bacteria in the air.

LOL that is the 'other' worst ending. The Reapers are just waiting for us to all hold hands, listen to some John Lennon, tie dye all our armor, and sing Give Peace a Chance.

The creator of the reapers will show up, tell us we passed the test, and are allowed to live to start the cycle again, as we become the peacefull utopians who will safeguard the galaxy by wiping out zilions of sentient beings every cyle until they learn to sing Beatles Songs.

If you look close it was wearing rubber fishing waders, they could still have a weakness to water, or just don't want the icky river water in their shoes.

I could actually accept a virus type scenario, I believe, if it didn't involve the usual, ridicolous picking of any MS Windows exploit and transferring it through standard protocols (Yep, here's the Reaper's 5 1/4 floppy drive), but rather was something based on research, that propagated through and disrupted something fundamental to the very concept of the things - like say the indoctrination field; the sum of the thoughts of a trillion mind fragments, functioning as one.
I would expect the reapers to have predicted such hacking and to have overcome countless similar attempts before and to quickly adapt, in the unlikely case we've actually found a new point of attack (an even stronger indoctrination field perhaps? confusing through its very presence, or doing black propaganda :P).

I am not entirely sure the reaper situation will be fully resolved in the trilogy.

Ha! I think the reapers actualy like the water in the demos and the trailers they seemed to prefer landing in the water. I am guessing that during the initial attack on earth that Harbinger is having a blast somewhere in the pacific just swimming around.

Depends on its use as a plot device.

I think it could work as a logical plot device.

We are the galaxy

We are the children

We are the ones who make a brighter day

So let's start giving

There's a choice we're making

We're saving our own lives

It's true we'll make a better day

Just you and me

What the trailer doesn't show is that Reaper saying to itself "damn it, I just knew I should have spent that last millenium calibrating my landing guidance systems...what a mess!"

I will be disappointed by anything other than an actual war, in which the Reapers must be destroyed one by one until they are extinct.

I expect to be disappointed.

My prediction is that the Reapers will be weakened by a "secret" that makes them vulnerable to some kind of an attack. Or there will be some ancient technology of some sort. But it would be pretty cool if it involved Dark Matter exploding sun-bombs.

Turian C-Sec: Why don't Reapers ever play by the rules and follow the law?

Shepard: Because it's a BIG..STUPID..CUTTLEFISH..!

Is it just me, or is that a really small Reaper? It does not look to be a Kilometer long, much less 2 kilometers.

Will I go ballistic? No, because such a cheap plot device will say more about Bioware than about me.

What will happen is Shepard and his confirmed squad members will fly into a Reaper, as they get inside a monotone wormhole will appear and Shep and Co. will fall through into another dimension.

They will reappear on flat ground and a unicorn will run up and jump into Vega. Then a multi-headed dragon will chase them while a short man will bestow upon them classes. Vega will be Barbarian, Garrus the Ranger, Kaidan the Magician, Liara the Thief, Shepard the Cavalier and Tali the Acrobat.

Tbh Liara should be the magician, and Kaidan perhaps the apprentice...

But no, either Heman or Narnia?
