Ahh Comic-con. Every year I angst over not being able to go. Looking forward to all the new info on both ME3 and the dlc, and of course the fantastic cosplay!

Ive gotta agree with the folks that are saying that this DLC had better be f***ing huge. As in Awakenings huge seeing as how we wont be seeing it until the end of July apparently. If it's only 1-2 hours of gameplay, this will be the first and last dlc I purchase for DA2.

I didn't post that to suggest I didn't like GOA, only that my earlier post of hoping a convention demo would imply a larger scale DLC is not necessarily accurate. Based on this example, the DLC we see at Comic Con this year could be a standard 1-2 hour, 10$ DLC.

I can't recall any Bioware DLC besides shale that cost more than seven dollars.

If it hints at what's to come in DA3 or gives me some closure about Hawke then I'm in. Otherwsie I do not care.

Wasn't LotSB an 800-point ($10) DLC? Also, Awakening has a DLC price, I think (can you buy it in points?).

But yeah, he should have said the standard $7 1-2 hour DLC.

Thing is, they'll probably charge more because they took the extra effort to more cleverly disguise reuse of the existing area art (ZING!). So we're actually the ones who end up paying the real price for criticism of the game in the end. :-)

well, if it's gives any details in the possible story Dragon Age 3, then i think i'm in, even though mt first playthrough of the game is the only one i actually enjoyed (from the second one, i regret every damn second), but i might as well finish the story.
If not, then whatever, i don't care.

I'm curious as to if this DA2 DLC continues the story after the ending or just adds a side-quest like Overlord in Mass Effect 2 did.

Will they show this in any of the footage from Comic Con on G4?

Seriously guise, Awakening was released less than four months after Origins. This "DLC" better be huge.

Seriously, DA:O for the PC went gold in Feb 2009, but was delayed to allow simultaenous release with the console versions.

So... DA:A had another seven months of development time, (a total of 11 months after the basic game was locked) before the players got their hands on "EP1".
(Just reminding folk who didn't know about the "real" timeline... Posted Image )

I really hope its a dlc for after the main quest, as like most people i am waiting in my mansion with nowhere to go except the promise of "...from here you will be able to go off on other adventures..." and that its a solid several hour pack.....please bioware no more 1 or so hour things, or at least wait till you have 3 or 4 of them and release them as 1 pack.....please listen to your fans! if its really short and its $10.....i think it could hurt bioware/da2 even more...and i dont want to see that at all :)

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

At least we have some sort of timeline now, rather than the nebulous future. I'll look forward to the reviews and discussion on the forums! Or wait... perhaps I'll have to avoid for spoilers. I'll have to think about that.

So yeah. When it sucks (and it will), the hate is coming back to the forums. And it's bringing all its friends with it this time.

Well, aren't you just Debbie Downer?

I have some high hopes for this DLC.  They're showing off DLC at a convention, so it obviously won't be something small like an item pack.  And the convention is about a month away, plus it isn't likely to come out right after the convention, so it would seem that quite a bit of time is going into this.  Hopefully, this means something of good quality and decent length.
