 Here's an interesting idea:

So, Shep is standing trial on Earth, and the Council is there, when the reapers strike.

Turian Councilor: "The Reapers are real!"
Shepard: "Ah, yes. Reapers. The immortal race of sentient starships allegedly waiting in dark space. We have dismissed that claim"

(Renegade Choice available only if ME2 was played)

This would be an excellent beginning to the game, don't you think?

While the whole reaper payback qoute is funny I can't ever see a reasonable situation to use it in if I was shep I'd be too distraught to be like ah reapers more like I'd be like Earth needs help now and if you say no I'll gut you!
