9 months until release, with much of the VA work still to be done, and that includes lip synching the face models in with the VA. They wont release such footage until they get it pretty much sorted. If they did, game critics and other whiney people will jump on the poorly dubbed footage and then use it as "proof" that Bioware is no longer commited to the game/genre.

Personally, I would like to see squadmates interacting with each other on the ship, not just when you take them on missions. It would make things seem more dynamic if you saw them interacting with other characters without Shepard initiating everything. Maybe also let them move around the ship sometimes, not always be stuck in that one location.
I would also love to see more opportunities to 'hang out,' like going to a bar or something. Could also lead to some nice expansion to romance subplots.

Conversations are game play. Just not the shoot em up part of the game. And Im sure if they wanted to they could get a short snippet of VA and face syncing done for a trailer/demo. I really didn't even know they didn't have any done yet. No need to get snippy.

Remember, there's still eight months to go. Plenty more will be revealed; as hard as it is, we have to stay patient.

E3 is mostly about flashy trailers and a lot of action. We've been promised more squad interaction and emotion from Shepard, so it seems clear that they're focusing on improving these areas and making sure we get even better conversations and depth with our companions.

I think we've already seen some of that with the E3 demos. The most obvious would be the squad banter as we can hear Shepard and Co. go back and forth multiple times in each demo.
Though on the emotional front, we've seen major boons to the facial animations. Just look at the scene with the Kid. Before talking to him, Shepard shows some very subtle, and in my opinion powerful, emotions.

This thread has appeared at least a dozen times since E3. The same "this is just a dumb shooter" assumptions have been made time and again, all based on 10 minutes of footage, by people who have no idea of how games are actually developed. While I do share your concerns that the game may become "just another braindead shooter", I do actually have the understanding of what is entailed in game development, and thus dont make grandoise assumptions such as yours based on very little information as what has been provided thus far.
A quick search through the first few pages of this forum would have shown you how many times this has been brought up, and you could have joined in one of the existing discussion, instead of starting yet another one.

I know that shooting makes for a more exciting trailer than talking, but I still think that Bioware schould focus their attention on the characters and the dynamic conversations.
You know nothing of the purpose of E3 and other conventions.

Yeah, wait for the demo to come out, then complain. Like DA2.
You mean, wait for the demo to come out, complain, buy the game anyway, and complain even more?
I played the demo and decided it was enough for me.
Rogue = I iz ninja? <_<

They showed off game mechanics, graphics, and scale of the game. That's the purpose of the convention.

I'd like the conversations to incorporate a timer. Like, NPC asks you a question, timers starts counting down from 10.
That's actually a really good idea...but I doubt it's going to actually happen. Some people's comprehension levels require reading sub-titles and would be considerably disadvantaged.

Not a good idea. The converstion input pause is very handy for when you need to take a leak, talk to friends, family, answer the phone etc.

I think it would honestly add a level of depth to the game because, if it were possible, then NPC's could comment on myrad of things observed from such conversations. It could even have some consequences (like the renegade interrupts).

Obsidian did it with Alpha Protocol and it didn't really add anything to the game and most people complained about itoutlaw1109 wrote...

You would just be rushed though, you would make stupid remarks because you didnt have time to think about what you wanted shep to say anmd the whole conversation you would just be on edge because you knew you had got 10 seconds to choose a reply. Its a game, not real life

Of course you would be rushed. (it wouldn't have to be 10 seconds).
That's the whole freakin point. You're right, it IS a game and it should present challenges whenever possible. I'm not comparing it to real life. I, in no way shape or form, fly around the galaxy as a spectre, but I do believe it would add a level of depth to gameplay.
