Boss fight? Eww. So many good games ruined just because devs feel the need to throw in a boss for the ending. This isn't some cheesy hack and slash dungeon RPG for basement dwellers. Some corny Reaper that Shep would have to fight at the end would screw the ending up so badly.
These awesome boss fights wouldn't necessarily have to be the ending of ME3. Just some things in between that make the game memorable along (and I emphasize along) even more memorable RPG elements/decisions. If any of you have played the MGS series, I think Konami did it right on balancing creative boss encounters and RPG.

The final boss will be some kind of glowing skeleton mark my words.
I'm holding my breath on the possibility that it'll be either an indoctrinated Illusive Man or Harbinger, or the boss of all Reapers (not totally sure who that could be though)

Any more thoughts on ME3 boss mechanics?

I'm not sure how appropriate a "final boss" will be given the nature of the Reapers. An indoctrnated TIM will just be a replay of ME1 with Saren, and if we go into the Reaper itself to kill the "main body", it will just be a repeat of ME2 and baby-termireaper.
If anything, I sort of picture it a bit like the SM, but instead of finding consoles to open vents to allow your tech guru through, you are looking for strategic weak points to plant explosives to blow up the Reaper from the inside out. This can only happen once or twice as ity will then start to get repetative. They might even implement a timer that you have to get it done by, otherwise indoctrinated-yet-functional reaper slaves start searching the hull to find and remove the planted explosives.

We're just going to give the Turian councillor a megaphone, and he can dismiss them. Caught in the paradox of their own existance, the Reapers will vanish.
Turian councillor: Ah, yes! "Reapers" we have dismiss that claim.
Harbinger: This form is beyond comprehension. We have failed, we would find another way. Assuming self destruct.
*Sovereign from reapers heaven*
Sovereign: I knew I should had blow that stupid Presidium.

I like the boss fights in ME1 and ME2. I've never been a fan of the long, contrived boss fight.
I haven't seen a lot of love for ME1 and ME2 boss fights. What aspects of the boss fights did you like? Do you think they can improve on anything?
