What do you think the sentence will be?

I think it would be fun if, at the end of the trial, Shepard is stripped of his rank, convicted of treason, and condemned to death. I want to see the Alliance do their worst - this way, Shepard will have NO allies in ME3, only those who are forced to work with him because of the Reapers.

Also, I wish there would be protests on the streets, when humans learn that Shepard is on trial. I want to see some violent demonstrations in support of Shepard, to help him better connect emotionally with his homeworld. Or do you think humanity would be quick to ditch its greatest champion, and nobody would give a damn? Which will it be?

Or maybe the trial will be interrupted before the sentence is voiced? I wouldn't like it. I want to know where Alliance stands with Shepard. What do you think is going to be the best, dramatically?

Id be surprised if the trial has got that far. Hell actually getting past pre trial hearings for such a large case in under a year is pushing it in real life especially for the military.

Im guessing the trial will be used in part for the character re/creation - its a good way to summarize what shep has done in the previous 2 games, and your reaction to these points could add renegade or paragon points.

As for protests there trailer suggests there are and im guessing they are about the trial

The trial wont end. Reaper will turn up halfway through, and Shep will just say "I should go" before leaving to beat 6 shades of snot out of the Reaper.

I wish I had to photoshop skillz to give him glowing eyes... :D

Seriously, though, the prosecution would be screwed. "OBJECTION. I WILL TEAR YOU APART IF I HAVE TO. THIS TRIAL CANNOT CONTINUE, FOR THE PROSECUTION APPEARS TO CONSIST OF A PILE OF ASH. YOU FEEL THIS, SHEPARD."

I agree with this, the DLC (namely Arrival) seems to indicate that the Reapers are damn close so id be surprised if the trial even gets underway

At the end of the game:

Shepard: It's over Harbinger. The Reapers have lost.

Harbinger: WE FEEL THIS.

Shepard: Do you want to live Harbinger?

Harbinger: NOT PARTICULARLY.

Shepard: That's a shame; you're my new lawyer.

Harbinger...

Shepard: It's not that bad! Just kill the prosecution if they look like they're going to win.

Harbinger: ...WE WILL ENJOY BEING A LAWYER. ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL OF THE JUDICIAL PROCESS.

Udina: Shepard! Thank you for saving us from the Reapers! Now, about that trial...

Shepard: Ahem.

Harbinger: THIS HURTS YOU.

Udina: blarghdead.

And Harbinger Wright, Commander Shepard and the rest of the crew lived happily ever after.

But seriously I think all shepards squadmates from ME2 should interrupt the trial and defend him/her. And then you just see your ME1 squadmate/LI making their way through the crowd and watch the trial.

Community Service.
Specifically, serving the community by saving them from the Reapers.

I assume it will involve an object, verb and subject.

Oh, okay, I misunderstood. I thought we'd be making up sentences. You know, for lulz. Excuse me.

It will be having to call the VS Captain and obey their orders. The horror. The horror.

This... whilst shouts of "ENEMIES ARE EVERYWHERE!" can be heard from screaming humans as husks begin to storm the trial court

Would they still have the death penalty in the future? Maybe some species do but some don't?

I'd be surprised if they actually get to the sentencing. History in story telling tells me they won't.

Case in point, Season 7 of 24...

As long as I get the opportunity for one of my Sheps to say "Don't expect me to regret the decisions I've made, because Sir the truth is, I don't!"

they'll send shepard to kirkwall for life...:innocent:

but to be serious, i hope the trial is interactive and the defense/prosecution/tribunal bring shepard's past decisions into the trial.  i'd hate for it to just be a cut scene like we saw in the fall of earth demos.

It doesn't matter. My Shep will jump out of a window, glide down to safety, and run off before they get to the verdict.

Yes, a Spectre just isn't suppose to get caught to begin with. :bandit:

Predicting the way an entire planet is becoming one giant Liberallville he would get a mandatory Batarian sensitivity training with a complete Care Bear and My Little Pony video collection for some "feelings training". Probably also mandatory watching of a future equivalent of Oprah. Or like some RL shmucks in some Texas jail that are forced to wear pink jail uniforms.

I'd like it if Shep gets put in prison and her mates have to bust her out but its more likely that the Reapers will turn up in the middle of the trial so that Shepard can say "told you so"
