That and we don't know that Liara can't die in ME3. It would gut me if that was the case, but there it is.KainrycKarr wrote...
It means Bioware absolutely, for sure, unavoidably wanted Liara as the new Shadow Broker, and to be in ME3.
I'm willing to bet, everyone can die in ME3.

More than a few are willing to bet that she'll play an integral role in ME3. If she's still unkillable in ME3 though, I too am going to feel a mite bit annoyed.

We don't want her dead. We are just discussing why she can't be dead. No hate posts here(not yet atleast)amcnow wrote...

Preemptive strike for when it inevitably happens.

*Takes deep breath*
Romancable by both genders, can't die, and is canonically required to be on the Normandy during the events of Mass Effect. She has her own comic book mini-series continuing her story after Mass Effect which further solidifies her importance to the overall plot. She's around during the events of Mass Effect 2 in an important enough role to get her own "main mission" downloadable content but not long enough to be killed in the Suicide Mission. She takes up the mantle of Shadow Broker making her arguably the most important power player in the series'. She is a guaranteed squad member in Mass Effect 3 regardless of variables or decisions.

Am I missing something?

Liara is the only member who cannot die in the Mass Effect series so far. What do you think this means for ME3?
Well, Joker can't die either (ok, he's not a squad member, but he's a crew member). Maybe this means Liara and Joker end together

Liara is undoubtedly the in house favorite.

Hah, wasn't it just a year ago the Liara-mancers were throwing up a storm about how much Bioware didn't care about them?

I don't hate her, I just find it bizarre that every Shepard is compelled to treat her like a long-lost best friend when you could be constantly rude to her in ME1.
What you thought she handed Shepard over to lazarus with out some demands?

This, basically. There is a reason she is the only immune one of all the 16 squaddies so far introduced.KainrycKarr wrote...

I seem to be one of the only people to positively hate her. I was glad for her to be SB because I don't have to see her again. I didn't romance anyone in ME1 because all of the LIs were so bland. I don't look forward to her return.

You mean kind of like the way Tali still revered you even if you treated her like dirt in ME1?
