As for Liara's new personality, I think a bit of the old Liara peaks through the cracks when she decides to become the shadow broker. She breaks down a bit, and I think that shows what a enourmous responsibility/ she's taken on. Many people have said that Liara could simply move all the information that was on the Shadow Broker's ship to the Norrmandy, but I agree with Saphra Deden when mentioned that it would seem to be more than a part time job. Liara being the most powerful information broker in the Mass Effect universe and running around saving the world with Shepard sounds a bit far fetched.

Liara does seem to be a favorite, as her plot armor suggests. She may be intended to live through everything and be a bridging character between this trilogy and a possible future series in the Mass Effect universe. Makes sense, the next set of games could take place centuries after this trilogy and Liara would still be alive to tell the tale.

They should have picked someone more interesting.
Asari are the least interesting race in the series, meaning any asari character has a lot harder to work to be interesting to follow.

The same thing wouldn't happen to TIM, simply because his agents are working for the idea, and not for money. What is the best time to help humanity than now, when the Reapers are tearing the Earth apart? Or perhaps he has access to indoctrination devices, which he uses to secure his agents' loyalty and his soldiers' obedience...which is more likely, given what we saw.
If we assume that Liara is still doubling as a SB, then we have a contradiction. She refused to follow Shepard in ME2 precisely for the reason that she wanted to work as a SB, instead. If she's in his squad now, while working as a SB, then her excuse in ME2 loses all meaning. Why couldn't she do it from the very beginning?
She couldn't, most likely. It's mentioned how exhausting the job is. She falls asleep at the desk. It takes ALL of her time and effort, and still it's not enough. Her brain capacity is simply not sufficient enough to handle the flux of intel. She can't sort out what's important and what's not. I bet she quit because she couldn't handle it, and not because of her net being disrupted by the invasion.
And who could blame her? The previous SB was an exceptional individual of a rare species, we don't know the borders of his mental resources. Maybe he was precisely suited for this kind of job, biologically. Barla Von expresses disbelief that one person can handle this kind of job, and he is convinced that it's a group. It gives us an idea just how much must be put into this job simply to keep it up.
There's a reason why TIM kept the number of his projects strictly limited, and why they sometimes got out of hand before he could react. It's either be constantly connected to everything and lose yourself in the miniscule details or you'd have to delegate things to your subordinates and trust their competence, just to ensure your own sanity and to keep the bigger picture in mind.
Realistically, I don't think an average organic could handle SB job. Especially not while being a part of Shepard's squad. I think an AI could do this so much better.

Listen here, for the last frigging time - I DO NOT CARE IF YOU BELIEVE IT OR NOT. I pointed to where the sources were, you can do with them what you want, the easy way out is say "I dont believe you." and move on, which to be honest is fine by me lol.
That said, my words were directed toward someone else, YOU however jumped in.
So let me get this straight, you jump at someone who didnt say anything to YOU, and you expect me to behave properly? Ignorance is bliss right?
I can be polite like an angel if I wanted to, however, he IS a casual gamer who obviously doesnt know **** beyond what all casuals know. Which is nearly inexistable. If you insist I withdraw my statement, get him to answer me 20 questions so you may both finally shut up and take it like a man.
Whats your problem anyway? Why reply to me? I didnt call you out? Are you some evangelical vanguard that saw it fit to protect someone who you thought was treated with unfairness? and who CLEARLY doesnt answer? If HE moved on, why the **** are YOU still replying to me?
Yeah it's very funny how the internet works, especially the part where people love to jump in stuff that is NONE OF THEIR GODDAMN BUSINESS.
p.s I'm not coming back here to read huge blocks of text like your last post, my eyes bled.
Have a nice day and do yourself a favor, move on.

This kind of threads had been so MANY times already, that people got tired into even trying to explain the haters why they`re so dumb, because they never listen anyway
Maybe you all haters that care so much about it and cant let go, can make a hate Liara group and discuss about all this there, as long as why Tali is so awesome (because mostly of this haters are obsessed with Tali).
But please just stop spamming this forum

I won't be surprised if Bioware wants to keep her long after ME3 for future stuff. Remember Asari live a long ass time...imagine her being the vllian in the next Mass Effect series x-x

She'll find about the Protheans "other plans" at the end of the shadow broker. Which will show us a Prothean super secret weapon that was in developement that never got deployed because of the Reaper surprising them. Liara will obligatory merge with Shepard. And show him how to get the weapon and PAWN TEH REAPERZ. And thus ensure every playthrough no matter how paragon or renegade will ensure that Shepard saved the galaxy.
Liara will live to ME 4.
Shepards story ends.
And in a Megaverse far far away.
Nnnnoooo!
An enrage cry of hatred is heard.
Now tell me it isn't likely to happen.

Exactly. It's galactic war, for pity's sake. No one should be invincible. Whole planets are being wiped out! Little kids are getting blown up on screen! Bioware should write in at least one way for Liara to die.Quole wrote...

Liara: "There's something... compelling about you, NewMainCharacter."
Player: "Oh yeah? Well, I've selected all Paragon responses up to this point, so let's get with the sexytimes~"
Liara: "Wait, first, I must tell you... I have a daughter. It doesn't matter if Shepard was my love-interest or not, I still decided to use my mind-raping powers to make a little blue baby. ...I hope you're okay with that, NewMainCharacter."
Player: "But, Shepard died, like, a hundred years ago..."
Liara: "Yes, my daughter is almost an adult by Asari standards."
Player: ".....is she hot?"
