She technically wasn't a squad member in Mass Effect 2 so of course she wouldn't die in that game. In Mass Effect 1 the most renegade people could die it would seem seeing how take for instance Wrex is so hot headed and would even kill Shepard if he/she got in his way. I'm pretty sure there will be a way for EVERYONE to die in Mass Effect 3, if you want her to die so badly here's your chance, but I advice you not to, it would make me cry ); lol jk. Maybe the dev's favorite Liara the most, could be just a coincidence though not sure.

damn I'd love to send Urdnot Wrex, Urdnot Grunt and the Rachi Queen to fight the Reapers in the frontline. They would be my shocktroopers/meat shields. I just love the idea of Krogans and the Rachni fighting them up  close and personal. :devil:

It will happen post ME3 when Bioware have to choose a canon background for the next game, and Liara is made the official canon romance.

Liara is secretly an immortal; you can't kill her unless you take off her head. After all, in the end, there can be only one.

Anyway, I don't really have an issue with Liara, some of the points made (her significant importance, friendship, stalker tendencies) are legitimate, though. I can see why a Shepard without a romance could be annoyed by her. I'm sure Bioware will give us some satisfaction with the characters, have some faith. : )

Yep, I plan to keep her in my squad consistantly, since she may be given more dialogue then most other squadmates for this very reason

While I don't mind the invincibility (plot armor FTW) I'm pretty sure it's going to come off in the finale. After all, you are supposed to be able to LOSE to the reapers if you choose...poorly.

Hopefully, her plot armor isn't the only armor to come off in ME3! ........ lol

I kind of think that Liara is liked by the writers and so they chose to keep her alive all the way into ME3 by making her the new Shadow Broker.
