Well the haters can get her killed.

Only at the price of Shepards competance. And getting a rebar rod shoved up his backside.

Thats the price of killing Liara.

Liara being the only unkillable squadmate has actually created some resentment amongst a few people as a blatant form of favoritism (I could be wrong).
More than a few are willing to bet that she'll play an integral role in ME3. If she's still unkillable in ME3 though, I too am going to feel a mite bit annoyed.

The concept of creators having "favouritism" for a character they created is somewhat laughable, if they wanted her to be integral to the plot then that's their business, they made her. Why should every single character get completely equal treatment? It makes no sense from a story perspective.

That said, I think she needs to (and will) have the ability to die in Mass Effect 3.

I agree... to a point.

Why promote a game based on it's mechanic of decisions and consequences (lol what a joke) and already have the choice made for you? If you've ever seen the Mass Effect Genisis iComic you'd know exactly what I'm talking about.

Genesis didn't make a choice of who to romance for you. You were still the one in control of Shepard's actions and choices.

If they truly wanted to shove Liara down your throat the wouldn't bother with the comic and would simply give you one default Shepard to play with. That would have been both easier and less expensive.

No it didn't make the choice, it only heavily implied which one was the "right" choice. Not as bad, but still -- very bad.

All it said was some thing that was true.

Is Kaidan not a good boy.

Is Ashley not a soldier girl.

Is Liara not intelligent.

The choice was yours.

Its by far the stupidist thing I heard. Genesis forcing your choice.

Calling Kaidan a good boy when he is around 3 years older than Shepard was weird.

And Genesis did favor Liara, both with her description and by pointing out the meld (remins you of something?).

Kaidan by rank is lower than Shepard and thats what matters. Thats why Shepard can call him a kid. Cause rank and wisdom matters more than age.

Sounds like bullshyt to me. I served in the armed forces. On and off duty are two different things regardless of age. Defend it as much as you want, but the fact remains that the Genesis comic is heavily biased in regards Ashley, Liara, and Kaidan.

Then, why not call Kaidan "a good officer" instead? I highly doubt that men in the military refer to junior officers who are technically older then them as "kids" and calling  Kaidan a "kid" just makes Shepard sound like a condesending a**hole. <_<

Thank god I'm a PC player and can play through ME and import those playthroughs instead of having to ever deal with that poorly-written Genesis comic.

Concur. I won't ever play a non-complete playthrough. Eitner ME-ME2-ME3 or not at all. That may sound a bit unfair towards PS3 players, but can't help it. Only a "full" playthrough works for me, because then I "made" my canon.

Ah well. It may have screwed up Kaidan, but it was at least accurate with Liara.

Apart from the sentence about her being beautiful. That may or may not be correct depending on player's point of view.
