 A bit of background.  I've played through ME1 legit a few times now.  About a year ago I got a new 360 and through the foolishness of another (damn you, brother!) all my saves for all my various games got wiped.  So I recently dove back into ME1 to get the last achievement I needed (level 60) and to get a full playthrough to import into ME2, all in preperation for ME3.

So I wanted to get to 60 in 1 playthrough, so decided to do what I normally wouldn't.  Cheat.  I used the therum mning drill glitch.  Spare me the lecture, it's a rare thing for me to do  BUT, when I get to level 50, the exp stops.  Even tho I have all those other achievements it is recognizing it as my first playthrough.  Even tho I was able to select a bonus ability when I made my character, it still thinks it's my first playthrough.

Just... so very annoyed right now.  Had to vent, sorry.

Dude a level 60 import isn't much different than a level 50 import.

I'm not sure but I would be surprised if there wasn't a way to edit the XP on the XBox. If you set the XP to a whisker below L60 I would imagine that it would work.

Plus it's a single player game. If he wants to power level to get back to where he was at before "the brother incident" then more power to him. It's not like he's claiming to be the greatest ME1 player of all time or anything

I can say it is a pain to get to 60 the "right" way... I mean 3 play throughs meh - esp making that 60th one your canon transfer. It's different because you aren't like playing this for the first time and cheating that'd be annoying - but you lost your saved data and I totally understand setting up for ME2 and 3. (tho I also want that transfer to be every quest/canon paragon/etc.)

Hopefully figure it out or... *sigh* grind it away. But I prob will myself just transfer my level 50. Tho the double resources/money for transfer imo is a difference in ME2. (I just started ME on 2nd playthrough to get to 60).

Pretty sure games check your saves not your achievements for stuff like that....
