Let's face it. The last time that Bioware made a bad game, we got two awesome expansions for it which more than made the game worthwhile. I'm hoping that since this DLC will have come out about five months after release we'll get a nice, long post-campaign expansion instead of another dumb item pack.

DAII already made a lot of mistakes:  Reused environments, long cooldown times and a level-up system that wewarded not taking too many active abilities to negate the long cooldowns which made mages boring to play. Hopefully we'll see something that manages to make this game wporth playing again.

Expansions in this age of the Video Game industry where you can tax fanboyism* without any problems?

* I don't know where I read it, but the person who came up with this phrase is a genius.

I'm wondering what game you are refering to here.

I solved my problem of long cool downs with my mage by picking up a lot of activated abilities and minimal passive ones. :wizard:

If this is a roundabout way of asking if Legacy is an item pack, it most certainly is not. It's not as big as Shadows of Undrentide, but it's DLC, not an expansion pack.

But it certainly is story driven. Some...interesting revelations in there, and we've gone to lengths to be sure you can engage with it at any point in DA II after you reach Kirkwall, including from the post-game save (which, like DA:O, takes place "just before" the events of the end game).

I am curious about how big the DLC will be.. It's not as big as Shadows of Undrentide?.. Never played Neverwinter Nights but here is a quote from a review from Gamespot:

"Undrentide's campaign is shorter than that of Neverwinter Nights, but
that doesn't mean it's short--it will probably last you 25 to 30 hours"
-source: http://www.gamespot....sou/review.html

Well if it would have been as big as Undrentide it would be an expension right?

I will just wait and see:lol:

Will it last longer than 45 minutes?

Takes place before the end of the game, huh. Blip on the disappointment meter.

I'd much rather they do gap filling with the DLC. I'm not particularly eager to see any important issues get the Witch Hunt treatment again. Save the consequential stuff for proper expansions and sequels.

So this will add to the game not seperate mini-adventure?

More DLC information will be revealed at San Diego COmic Con. Either come visit us at the Hilton Gaslamp hotel or watch BioWare Pulse for more updates. :)

Ok, I really like that this DLC will be playable at any point of the game. :wizard:

It's not post-game?

Awww maaaan...

Still looking forward to it, mind you. And it seemed pretty obvious it wasn't an item pack, I mean "Come to Comic Con to demo our latest item pack!"? I doubt I'd go..

NWN SoU was several hours long, while the longest BW DLC must be around 1h and a half.

Oh good! That's great news, thanks Mike et al! It'll be fun playing DLC post-game completion and see how things shake loose and then play it during a campaign to see what differences there are. And even if there's no super huge differences it'll still be a blast I'm sure :D

So it's not post campaign and therefore doesn't involve Cass. Lame. Hopefully party members will still have actual lines and they'll be the same from the OC.

Will companions have some new dialog in this DLC or will they be hushed as in the ME DLCs?

So we'll be able to play DLC that takes place before the end of the game, post-game? That makes no sense at all given what happens at the end, but whatever sounds good... will we be able to use Bethany in her Circle / Grey Warden outfit though?
