Legacy of the Warden maybe!?

or grey wardens in general perhaps, my guess is if the dlc is going to be about the wardens it will tell the story of how Hawke obtained Vigilance (the sword is in the game files) B)

Why would a DLC be about something from Origins?

My guess is thats it about the corrupted Lyrium.

So the storyline content will take place during the vanilla game...meaning it has no bearing on what happens in the main storyline? And it's going to include varied areas and other means of correcting DA2's bad design decisions? Even though it takes place during the game? Isn't that...stupid?

I'm sorry. Like a previous poster mentioned, I wonder how they're going to prevent the DLC areas/combat from making the vanilla areas/combat look and play even worse than they already do (will the DLC have combat waves?  Err...I hate having to wait so long to get answers). But I guess that's inevitable unless BioWare makes changes to the vanilla game.

I think I'll wait for a full-fledged expansion/enhanced edition. I don't like Hawke anyway, I don't need to know what he was doing during all the time he was doing nothing >.>

My bet is on "Legacy" having something to do with Hawke's father.

Most likely.

Goodbye, interpretation of Quentin being Malcolm Hawke. You will be missed.

I hope it being called legacy means it has something to do with Hawkes lineage, because if it's not going to be related to the main story then it should at least be related to the main character.

I have read that they have always planned to have the DLC for DA2 be very Hawke-centric, and they won't do anything like Leliana's Song or Witch Hunt.

So I strongly doubt it'll be about anyone else or the Wardens or anything. And I'd love to learn more about Malcolm.

All three of my Hawkes are sitting in the estate waiting for mail. Just so long as it's playable post-game and doesn't pull what ME1 did in regards to DLC I'll be happy.

I hope BioWare has the ability to be flexible here.  Focusing solely on Hawke seems like a losing proposition considering how many people don't like him/her.  They didn't plan on people not liking Hawke...but they didn't plan on people not liking recycled areas either so...

Wrong, this is the perfect time to make Hawke important and likeable to people who didn't like her/him in the base game.

They didn't plan on the game getting such a polarised reaction either...regardless - It will be very interesting to see how they've ...interpreted the information they have.

@Melca36 My guess about the dlc possibly involving the grey wardens and hawke obtaining vigilance is something i base upon vigilance being in game files and one of the pictures Mike Laidlaw released had a griffon statue in it. I also think having dlc involving what the grey wardens have been up to would be a very smart way to lure in fans considering how many people were dissapointed with DA2.

Although this speculation on the dlc being about Hawke's lineage intrigues me, perhaps we'll learn more about the Amell family and how they became a noble family after the fourth blight? :o

What?  I understand that some people didn't like certain aspects of the game but considering you choose how to play Hawke... how can you not like how you choose to play?

Legacy certainly screams "Grey Warden Legacy" doesn't it? You know, griffon statues? But Grey Warden armor? Ha, we can only hope.

It's easy enough if you don't like the three choices presented.

I'd like to request that any awesome weapons or armor we obtain in this DLC be given the "Improves with level up" attribute. Gear isn't a priority for me in story-based DLC, but if we can access this content at any point after reaching Kirkwall, I'd like to be able to get the most mileage out of the gear I unlock.

I guess it's just a preference.  The only choice in the game I didn't like was how they forced you to side with either the Templar or the Mages or to be more accurate, the reason for forcing you to join one or the other.  The Templars with some exceptions come across as religeous fanatics (something I despise and have never sided with the Templars in any of my 3 playthroughs) or the mages though not guilty as an organization per se but the constant encounters with demon possessed blood mages was damning though one can argue they were "forced" into that role but too many seemed eager for it.  I found myself wishing for either an option to abandon Kirkwall (not before I bust Bethany out of the Tower first though if applicable) or maybe siding with the city guard to actually defend the city and maybe knock some sense into both the mages and Templars.

But it certainly is story driven.

Story driven, hey? Story driven. Sten!

Ok, so its not quite like when Gaider hid a message about his novel, but I  just really want more qunari and more Sten. *cries*

Looking forward to it. Sounds fun. More story is always good. (PS. I'd settle for some questing with that Tal'Vashoth who ends up in the Hanged Man.....)

As I recall in some interview with Laidlaw or Darrah I think from before DA2 came out regarding how they'd handle DLC, I think at that point they mentioned how most if not all would take place during the timeline of the game and you'd always be playing as Hawke. Because in part they figured stuff that happened after the events of DA2 should be left to a sequel or something.

I had hoped maybe to play as Hawke in the aftermath of what happened... in Starkhaven? etc.

Of course it's nothing but the preference, but i'm talking about something slightly different than the quest choices -- it's that not everyone has to like the choice of personalities granted to Hawke. Each of them tends to be very pronounced (the "nice guy", the douchebag and the snarky douchebag) and if your preference is for a more low key sort of character or just someone with different personality, then it is very easy to wind up not liking Hawke at all.
