Watching a YouTube video of all I will miss will be sufficient.

PS3 players are only missing cameos and little things that are only relevant to people who played ME1 on XBox or PC... So I don't think they really care.

Honestly, unless you spent the time playing those little missions, they don't matter to you in ME2. I don't think you are missing too much by not deciding the 100s of small decisions because they are truly small if you didn't spend hours that made them big. Maybe BioWare approached it like "What they never played and decided won't hurt them." when they looked at the small things.

Exactly. All these small things like meeting Parasini or Shiala would mean nothing to someone who didn't play the first game, because they add nothing to the main story or even to a side story. They're only about those characters or events themselves and done simply as fanservice.

But if you're worried that any of these things might connect to a bigger storyline in ME3, than I'm sure Bioware is going to let you make that choice at the beginning of the game even though I doubt they will be anything more than small cameos.

That's what you get for playing PS3. You get some amazing franchises and lose out on some of the 360 stuff.

I hate that argument. No insult meant, but it's arguments like that which have given birth to this latest generation of fan boys. What happened to the good old days when people weren't "Sony Fanboys" or "Microsoft Fanboys" for liking one game more than another? Gametrailers nominated Uncharted 3 for best multiplayer and it won, now everybody on their forums is saying that GT are Sony fanboys. I miss the good old days when I could proudly say that I was a Gamer because the only difference between consoles were the hardware, not "losing" out on franchises.

Sorry, just went on a tirade. Wasn't meant at you, just frustrated at how the only way to truly enjoy videogames is to choose a side and if you don't you're "wrong." I played ME1, I loved ME1, its one thing for EA to not publish it on the PS3 due to licensing issues; its a completely other thing when the ME community, all of whom love and play the exact same game for the exact same reason, talk about how its the the PS3 owners own fault for not having chosen an Xbox or a PC rather than Micro$ofts fault for being greedy ****s.

Except for those PS3 players who have played ME1... which is most of us ;)

If most of you played through ME1, then access to ME2 on PC and 360 would be possible, no? I would think most PS3ers haven't

That's where you're wrong. The 360 is infamous for its red rings of death and terrible warranty while a PC can have any millions of things go wrong, including but not limited to viruses or simply being outdated. I myself switched to a Macbook Pro after my 10-yr old PC got a terrible virus and after my 360 broke for the 5th time I finally got fed up of M$ faulty hardware and switched to PS3.

There are tons of people who no longer own 360s for any number of reasons. Gave it away as a birthday present, dislike paying for online when it should be free, was no longer "cutting edge", or it broke and the warranty won't cover it. The latest reasons I've been hearing is about how M$ is ignoring the hardcore and switching to casual gamers, how after Gears of War the first party support will die, or how they just got tired of having to switch disks.

Alot of people have lost both confidence and interest in Microsoft to provide for their fans and have jumped ship for the same reason that devs who were former Microsoft-supporters and die hards back in 2007 and 2008 are releasing newer, and if the reviews are anything to go by, superior content for Sony's system. Not everything is as black and white as "If you played ME1 on the 360 you can play ME2 and ME3 on it too" or "If you have a PS3 then you've never played ME1 and shouldn't worry about it"

That sucks, Conrad Verner is awesome. I would hate to see anyone miss out on that, that would be like watching a movie at the end to me.

I don't know why people say ps3 got all dlc for free when the game came out at $60 a year after launch. You could buy the game on 360 and all the dlc for cheaper than that.

Um... That's the same price I paid for the game when it came out for 360... So yeah, I'd still say they got it for "free".  Some even paid more for the Collector's Edition.

Oh yeah, and the comic you now have to BUY if you want to see it on PC or Xbox 360.

That's nice, but you chose to play on PS3.  Enjoy your free DLC and be happy.

That's a big negative, champ. I played 1 on my PC, but I game on my PS3 for the most part and I DO care that so many "smaller" choices will never be present in any of my Shepards.

It's your problem for buying the inferiour and wrong version. enjoy your supposed ''superiour graphics'', your free DLCs, your framerate issues and your save corruption. next time think twice before buying a SEQUEL well known for its innovative save import on a system who doesn't have the FIRST GAME.

It'll be a shame if PS3 users miss out on too much (come on, give them Conrad at least, whether they like it or not) but at the same time it'd be a shame if all those decisions from ME1 just didn't matter for those that played it.

I'm not sure how I feel about it overall, I think it's just one of those things that I'll have to wait and see how it works out.

Remember, ME2 and ME3 are EA's games, ME1 is Microsoft's. So expect the scale to fall WAY onto the side of " it'd be a shame if all those decisions from ME1 just didn't matter for those that played it" than the PS3 crowd *missing out* on too much. Now THAT is a shame.

Prove me wrong Bioware. Please. ;)

ME1 is an XBoX exclusive. There should be benefits of playing the first game in the series. Therefore those who play on XboX should get some kind of small reward for sticking with the series from the beginning.

Yeah, it's not for PS3, that's beyond your control, and it sucks, but what do you expect?

You can't really expect a 5 min or less comic to replace hours of gameplay. Even without any of the fighting, just the story and dialogue is already hours. The comic is just an interactive lot summary, and a very brief one at that.

PC players also have access to ME:1. The point here is that it was an Xbox 360 exclusive. The comic can't be all-encmpassing and that's too darn bad I guess. Something you'll have do deal with. Do all the Missions in ME:2 and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Not trying to be the bad guy here, but those who switched from PC/360 to PS3 can't really complain about missing content. You guys already knew beforehand that those cameos and little details would be missing from the PS3 version. Nobody forced you to buy the PS3 version.

Yeah, if you bought it when it came out in Jan 09.  If you bought ME2 for the 360 on the date it came out for PS3, it was $20 new for the XBox.

Pc's are supperior to Macs, it's not Microsoft's fault hackers love to create viruses for Windows wich is an Operating System, not a fault with PC's.

I bought a PS3, have not used it once since January.

And yet the Xbox 360 is still selling like hotcakes... Go figure!  As for paying for online, hey atleast I know my personal information is safe from 18 year old hackers on Xbox Live, lol!

The latest reasons I've been hearing is about how M$ is ignoring the hardcore and switching to casual gamers, how after Gears of War the first party support will die, or how they just got tired of having to switch disks.

They are not ignoring the core gamers, you seem to have forgotten Sony's sad attempt at motion controls aswell, as for disc switching are gamers really that lazy these days? What about 4 discs for PS1 games in the 90's?

Alot of people have lost both confidence and interest in Microsoft to provide for their fans and have jumped ship for the same reason that devs who were former Microsoft-supporters and die hards back in 2007 and 2008 are releasing newer, and if the reviews are anything to go by, superior content for Sony's system. And your getting your information from where exactly?

I'm sorry PS3 users, you really do deserve the whole game but you'll never get it. I don't care how much free DLC is tossed your way, your being given the short end of the stick.

^ This...I wish MS weren't such jerks.

Look, you have to search far and wide to find someone who loathes Microsith more than me, but that's exactly why they want ME1 to remain an exclusive. Do you want to play ME2 and 3 on PS3 and miss the beginning of the story...or buy an Xbox? I wouldn't even own a 360 any more if it weren't for ME1. And that's exactly why MS wants to keep that exclusive.

What you mean the days when people were Nintendo or Sega fanboys? Back in the 80s and early 90s it was actually worse as the companies themselves were doing it just look at this ad for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis

True the newer versions are a lot better for this, plus the PS3 isn't immune to this either http://ps3yellowlightofdeath.net/

Depends on what you want from the system, PCs are better for games but Macs are better at other stuff like graphics design and Audio stuff.

I support this, i had ME and ME2 for xbox then the stupid thing died on me, bought it for ps3 as i think it is unreasonable to pay for a new console to play ME, i would do it however i am a student and i don't crap money.
