Found it very easy?

After a certain level it was just another careless diablo-esque monster bashing. With very little to worry over. And i've finished nightmare for the second time now. I'll admit that a very select few encounters would involved perhaps 2-3 quick-loads. But that was mostly due to forgetting about hidden mobs or silly AI taking their sweet old time to respond to a command.

Everything just seems pointless, resistance balms, potions of any kind, traps and poisons (though, i did try to justify using poisons anyway) Spell resistance, protective spells. None of this stuff was ever needed. The only helpful spells i ever used were heal and the Hot's. I've never even specc'd into crushing prison or CC spells (which i know are awesome, but i've never needed the help).

I've not even played a mage yet, which apparantly makes the game even easier! (the reason i don't have one. I don't want it to be easier than it already is)/

Is anyone working on a harder difficulty setting through the toolset, whilst i have the knowledge to do so myself. I do not have the time. Anyways, i'd love a seriously competitive difficulty setting if anyone has one. I want the fights to feel as epic as they look. I hate stomping all over the games toughest encounters.

Somebody please give me a difficulty after nightmare. Make me have a need for spell resistance sets, give me a reason to need to use cc spells and traps. Give me a need for resistance balms and consumable buffs. Please!

I don't suppose you took advantage of borderline exploits. I know there are a few, like ways to trick enemy AI...

@ Deltaxsi do me a favour, be constructive or begone.
Im just saying that i was somewhat dissapointed by the overall "challenge" the game had to offer. You think im feeling good about myself because i've put around 120 hours (so far) into something that has not been a challenge.
I'm happy to say that i've achieved bigger things to be proud of in my life time. How sad would an existance would i be if i had not?

Im simply looking for a challenge and trying to find others who may feel the same way

In direct response to the OP. No you're not. Theres plenty of people who are veritable demi gods beclaiming their superiority on this forum. You're not the only one, don't worry.



Are you playing the PC or the console version btw? As the console version is about a level easier than PC.

Ah my bad. PC version. And this isn't my attempt at a brag-fest. I just want something harder.

If that's true im really sorry it wasn't my intention. Im really not the sort to brag. I'd actually like to be able to post on the forums asking for advice on how to get past an encounter.

If you drink 100 potent health poultices in a row, then run 50 circles around immobile Shale in Honnleath, a secret darkcow level unlocks in Orzammar. There the true challenge awaits. Apart from that, I find gluing one's mouse to the desk adds a considerate amount of difficulty.
