To get the additional minerals/levels does the charecter you're copying over have to have the acchievement, or just your account?

Example I got Rich and max level on my Male Renegade Shep.

I also have a Female Paragon shep, does she have to have maxed level and unlocked "rich" on that play through to be able to get those benifits when i copy over to ME 2?

I think you get the same number of credits - regardless of your level.

But you get more EXP for max level. At best, you can start ME2 at level 5 (if you import ME1 level 60 character).

IIRC the character you import should be level 60 to max out everything.

The get rich achievement once unlocked is saved on transfer file for every character after unlock I believe; which is 100k more creds which in ME2 creds really do matter. Lvl 60 is 50k more creds, lvl 50 is 30k. And 10k/5k resources respectively.

It's possible it's that one char but I don't think so, since once achieved I don't think you reachieved it with a new character.

One other question Obviously you cannot get to 60 in 1 playthrough, do you have to make the same choices and complete all the same sidequests again for those plots to develop in ME 2?

Example my first play through i did all side quests the way I liked the results.. in my 2nd play through in ME 1 to get to level 60 do I have to make the decisions again?

Yes. You have to play the 2nd playthrough as if you're playing the game for the first time. The only thing that carries over from the first game are the experience points and the upgrades.

I left off that the credits also transfer from the 1st to 2nd play through as well.

I heard it takes 3 playthroughs to get to lvl 60... I think just 2... if u do everything. Anyone know?

But I did a 2nd one just main missions as I didn't want to do it all again and not reach 60 that'd suck - and am on my 3rd now doing everything over to transfer so all questions/choices I want to transfer, having maxed charm so I can do even more that I couldnt do on my first playthrough though. Problem is 3 playthroughs is tough (repetitive).

Yes, I did two playthroughs of an me1 character and only got to 58.  Since then I only go for a level 50 character to import.  The difference is not anything - there is plently of DLC to make up the difference in experience - plus combat in me2 is better anyway.

I've been playing ME1 for a while now to build some new lvl 60 imports into ME2 on the Xbox. It only takes 2 playthroughs to get to lvl 60 if you're not playing ME1 for the first time. I hear there is a cap at lvl 50 the first time you play and it will take 3 playthroughs. But after that you can usually get to lvl 52-55 on average in a single playthrough and you should be able to hit lvl 60 with no problem the next time through.

By being a little bit of a completionist you can get to 57 or 58 (with dlc) in one playthrough. It helps immensely if you have the experience increasing achievements already (completionist, power gamer and extreme power gamer) since that will increase your xp rewards by 20%. It also helps to do your fighting outside of the mako.

My first was first time ever ME1, got to 50, 2nd, got to 58. And did not even half the side quests. Completionist  and Power Gamer I got first time through, which helps XP boost noitceably, and best thing killing stuff outside mako and doing side quests.

Definitely though 58-60 is crazy XP needed was worried I didn't do enough on 2nd playthrough but think I'll just make it to 60 this third and final one.
