Is it possible to free Connor from the demon without having the codex saying that Isolde was sacrificed in the process, even if the mages were used and not blood magic?

During my recent playthrough, I left Jowan in his cell and got Wynne to mention going into the fade, without Jowan ever becoming involved in the conversation, though the codex still says that Isolde died, when she and Connor are alive and well in my playthrough.  Did my warden need to kill him in his cell?

Though this isn't a big deal, I'd like to get a successful codex entry at some point, if it is possible.

I thought I had the correct codex for that once, but either it was for one of my deleted characters or I must have imagined it (most likely the latter).

Killing Jowan or releasing him and telling him you never want to see him again, thus removing him from the equation (and entering the Fade with the Circle ritual), has not given the correct codex in my games - it still reports that Isolde gave up her life to save her son.

The only correct entry I have for her is when she killed Connor herself. I don't have a character that's knocked her out and done the deed themselves, so can't say if that would also result in a correct codex or not.

Thanks for the response.

I went through the "killing Connor" scenario once, and I don't plan to go through with it again, just for the sake of the codex. Having Isolde beg my warden not to kill her son and doing it anyway was a bit much to go through, even for a videogame. I just hate that when I keep both of them alive, the codex says otherwise. There's a similar issue with the "Of Noble Birth" quest that's equally annoying.

I've done the killing Connor thing twice, but I mostly try to create characters that wouldn't make that decision.

The incorrect codices are a bit annoying, but I can mostly overlook them since finding out that the game doesn't draw on them for consquences/world state. But, heh, yes, 'Of Noble Birth' is the one that irritates me the most because it appears from nowhere for no reason.

It's really not a major issue, but it would be nice if Bioware addressed the incorrect entries.
