Everyone, just to see the different outcomes (yeah I meta-gamed a bit...meh). However, I'm a one guy kinda woman. I get stuck on a character, it's always heterosexual (what can I say I dig men), and that's pretty much it (Alistar forever! ). Sooo in the end Fenris became my "official" love interest for DA 2. Both rival-manced and friend-manced, but I preferred the latter.

Gotta admit, initially I was all for Anders. Loved him in Awakenings and did a happy dance when I saw he was in DA2. Er, needless to say it just didn't work out. <.< My God, the preachy rebel thing wore on me something awful. I just couldn't take it. For some reason Fenris's angsty mage-rage wasn't nearly as annoying to me. Probably because I was attached to pre-DA2 Anders most like.

Heh. The way I play DA2 can very well be considered spamming. I play through the game with different variations of the same character over and over and over and over again, and the only other character I have is really not that different from the first. A pinnacle of creativity and imagination am I.

That's funny, I've always thought about doing that very same thing, but have never done it.

So how does that work on your next import, for say, DA3? Do they all just show up as multiple listings of the same name? That could get complicated, trying to figure out which one is which....or maybe you're more organized than I am.

Hey, I do the same thing! But I usually make another 1-2 characters to see choices my main character would absolutely never make, although I don't really care about them. Yeah, so much for roleplaying ...

I kind of do that too, although they all have different names they do the same romances, make the same decisions etc. After my first playthrough I can never seem to bring myself to deviate. Therefore, despite an increasing dislike of his militancy and almost constant seriousness, it's pretty much Anders. Gah, I wish I wasn't such a creature of habit!

I can't help but to romance Fenris since he is such a badass but also it's that voice. He is not what I like in body stature. For that, Anders is much better.
But I was able to romance them both and then when it came to the point to choosing which one to finally pick, I chose Fenris. Since Anders is pretty much unstable in being double-minded, literally.

I wish I could romance Anders all the way but knowing that my Hawke won't make a difference to him and knowing just how it plays out with him in the end, I just can't.

Anders first, with my first girl. Then Fenris. Then Anders with my male mage, which just felt better. Haven't finished it yet but it is such a great playthrough, I love male Hawke. =D Especially Angry/Snarky male Hawke. Voice is perfect for him. This is a first for me, when given a choice, I usually prefer the female version being a woman in real life. But male Hawke is just priceless. It raises my DA rating up a notch, and female Hawke is good, male Hawke just SUITS the snark so much. (Or anger, still, has to have something with a bit of attitude.)

Next I am doing an Isabella romanced playthrough. My first one she took off on me as I didn't pay her enough mind. Then, on a playthrough I intended to get her influence up just to spite her later....I couldn't. She was just such a sweetheart, she became my female Hawke;s best friend. I was already committed in that playthrough, so I promised myself the next would be Isabella all the way. =) She won me over.

me, playing the same character over and over? No way! I love that apostate, and the F!Hawke / Anders romance is just beautiful. I keep meaning to do an M!Hawke / Fenris run, but I just can't get attached to a Hawke that's not Rhiannon.

Honestly, I would run screaming from Anders in real life, but in a game, he's just perfect.

100% Agree. If this had a facebook-style "like" button, I would click it 100 times. Well, not the Rhiannon part. Just the Hawke/Anders romance. And I usually run a male PC... so maybe, nevermind. But I still agree! When something works, you stick with it.

Edit: And yeah, the running away screaming part in real life. Fantasy is enough.
