woot that worked.  my bdts cd key i had orginally let me install it but bdts would not show up. adding the key manually worked .  I still am unhappy with EA support but at least I can play the game I paid for.

Baramon, Gabeker, I'm glad my post helped you guys out! I'm about to post to it again to bump it back to the first page. Bioware refuses to sticky the post for "some reason" and so it relies heavily on the sheer number of people it helps constantly commenting on it to keep it near the first page. Best of luck!

Where can I find this chat? The only options I got from the support site were "send an e-mail" or "call", which apparently doesn't work for anyone

It may be called "Talk to a Game Advisor" now. But this thread's subject area, BDtS, has its own Help Segment in the Mass Effect area.

why can't i acces the chat? i can only mail to customer support (wich service is way too slow for my liking). why can't i get in direct contact with ea in this chat everybody mentions?

I haven't ever needed official support myself. The game is three years old now, maybe that's why.

 Not two weeks ago, I got my BDtS CD key from a rep.  The old chat system (mentioned earlier in the thread) is no longer present, but on the new help site, you can email someone who can get you a code.  I got a working code from someone there.  Go to 
http://help.ea.com/, click on "Talk to a Game Advisor" (must be logged in), and fill your query with detail.  Include maybe a screencap, and all the options you tried.  It should work.

just contact EA support at the link above. state your problem and say you need a cd key for BDTS and they'll send you a new one. i did it last night and got a key today and it worked.
