Thinking about it, I think my play style reflects me quite well....I play a tactics loving Assassin Infiltrator with Widow:

1.)He is tactics heavy....
2.) Keeps it ranged....
3.) Takes his time....
4.) Is a demon for head shots, 90% of the time set to cyro ammo....
5.) Diplomatic paragon....

The correlations I see:

1.) I like a plan...I hate rushing into things blind....
2.) I can't handle chaos....I like everything neat and in its place....
3.) I take everything slowly, refer to myself as a prime mover....
4.) I don't like un-necessary pain and suffering and will do everything to avoid subjecting another to it (I used to work in a Nursing Home and was dubbed by the residents as 'The Gentle One').....
5.) Diplomacy is always my first call...Paragon would describe me I guess.

I like to think I'm human, so adepts, sentinels and vanguards are not really my style. I'm a marine (well not in IRL, but former soldier nonetheless), so I tend to use the soldier or the infiltrator mostly, have yet to try the engineer..)

I'm mostly good, like I am in RL I like to think, taking the diplomatic approach whenever possible. Tried doing some renegade runs but I tend to end up with a very close Para / Rene score unlike those I decided was good from the start that will stay far ahead on paragon score. I'm taking everything slowly if possible, as CQB isn't me, prefer to use the range of my guns to the fullest extent which is why my soldiers also tend to pick up the Widow instead of the other guns whose names elude me.

As my team is always outnumbered I prefer to use defensive positions and let the enemy fall one by one, in a deadly crossfire of squad members with assault rifles and snipers, while I direct fire on certain enemies and calling in "support" in the terms of powers on enemies that come to close.

I can play Adept, Engineer, Infiltrator and Sentinel very well, i have a very diverse play style in all games.

I just kill everything as fast as i can, i am rather aggressive iRL, at least in the sense of how i talk, though i am not violent at all (i loathe violence).

As for choices, i am generally a paragon with a heavy renegade attitude towards enemies, the sort of get in my way and your in a world of hurt, and no mercy. Which reflects rather well on me real life as i am kind to those who deserve it and i am cruel against people who does not deserve to be threated well.

I'm also more like (infiltrator) sniper, staying behind and evaluating situation for best course of action.
So, I don't rush in to anything, I carefully deal situation by priorities of actions.
As talking with other npcs, I try to be diplomatic and find peaceful solutions.

Hard to say, Am I reflection of my plaing style. I ques little bit, like everyone is.

Not really. I would never do any interrupts in real life.

For my first playthrough I always approach each situation in a way I would normally. This often leads to my main Shepard being mostly a nice guy, who listens and is compassionate, but at the same time simply does not take any S*** from anyone.

Then my next Shep (FemShep) usually approaches every situation from the completely opposite side of the scale. My FemShep always ends up being a hard-as-nails psycho ****, who has a soft spot for her crew, and will defend her LI to the death. Everyone else though has a target on their foreheads...

Not really.
In Mass Effect 2 my favourite style is: put Inferno Ammo on the Claymore shotgun, Charge, shot = kill and repeat.
On the other hand, for example in Alpha Protocol I like sneaking and avoiding direct conflict as much as possible.

Yes, I like short range kills... I most like it when it's unexpected.

Since I'm an rpg player mostly, I like to play the engineer class relying on tactics as much as firepower to win. With a Vanguard and an Adept, my group can keep just about everything locked down.

On my canon playthrough, definitely (she's an infiltrator). Mostly paragon but with a short temper and not much patience, tends to take a logical view on things, and most importantly, she just loves poppin' heads. It's a compulsion.

Good question from OP.

To try and take things to heart and be as sincere to the material as possible, I play as a survivor; try to keep my team alive at all costs. For me, to see a squad mate fall is far worse than any boost got from a quick kill can repay; the only exception are situations where time is a factor (incoming missiles and falling ships) and then I go for shock tactics to try and gain territory to apply leverage on the battlefield. Play as a vanguard but the close up stuff and charges are "in case of emergency break glass" scenarios. I believe in "fight together, survive together."

No, thanks to ME2's ****** Paragon/Renegade system.

And as far as combat goes... Well, I've never been in a real firefight so I cannot say.

Mweah. I ride a motorcycle. On the bike, I've got one central maxim: 'The will to win expresses itself in the assault itself', the so called cult of the offensive. Not that it has anything to do with motorcycling, but yea.... I just rush in. As long as you want to win, you'll win.

my playstyle can't really reflect how I fight in real life simply because gaming systems can't incorporate that type of technique without true virtual reality coming into play. In paintball I tend to be an extreme risk taker and rely on quicker reation times, spur of the moment tactics and the element of suprise to win in extreme CQB. Yet to be able to do that in a video game.

Closest I can come to it in mass effect is playing infiltrator, closing while cloaked and hit full force with melee or smg.

Pretty much this.

In ME2, when I play a Sentinel, I'm crazy aggressive.  Throw lots of lead, spam warp and overload everywhere.

I'm also a blackbelt in karate.  My fighting style on the mat is totally the opposite of what I do with a Sentinel.  I'm very defensively oriented and I tend to not attack aggressively.  I defend and parry until the opponent makes a mistake, then I make him pay for it.  This works for me as I'm a pretty big guy and can take hits that would hurt other people without it really affecting me much.

The firearms I use in mass effect, though, do tend to match the ones I enjoy shooting the most in real life.  Mattock, Widow, and Carnifex are my favorite firearms in the game.  In reality, I enjoy accurate semi autos, a quality, accurate bolt action, and powerful handguns such as the Colt 1911.

Cool beans you're in karate, I did isshinryu for 10 years.

I did Shotokahn for the same length of time.  I haven't trained in a couple of years though.  RL has gotten solidly in the way of that :(

I'm actually i the middle of an identity crisis at the moment XD.
I love to reflect my playing style in all my games I play. But lately I've been stuck in an annoying rut.

I've always had a fondness for stealth combat. I loved that sort of thrill when I played Metal Gear Solid while sneaking around but at the same time, my origonal playing style was that of a kind-hearted warrior. Throwing myself into combat to save my allies.
But lately I seem to have developed an interest into long ranged combat...

but every time I look down the sniper scope...I get this urge still to jump in, to get a shotgun or SMG and go back to my old roots. XD

Yeah I'm pretty messed up at the moment :3

I prefer a melee-assassin type of character. I like to sneak up to an isolated and vulnerable target, overwhelm them in a burst of speed and brutality, and then vanish to my next target before anyone can figure out what is going on. For Mass Effect 2, Vanguard fills this role almost perfectly, although I also had quite a bit of fun with an Infiltrator once I got a shotgun.

I tend to play as a Jerk with a Heart of Gold. I will delight in taking vengeance against my enemies, finding humerous ways to kill and threaten people to solidify my role as a badass. At the same time, I'm more compassionate/loyal towards my allies and don't like hurting people who don't seem like they deserve it. I might still be mean to them, but I probably won't hurt them.

Probably.

I tend to play the squishy wizard in games, with very little regard for their own personal safety. IRL... well, it's been ages since I was in a proper fight, but obviously I can't biotically throw someone. I do tend to rush in, but that's because I ascribe to the incapacitation school of fighting: it doesn't have to be pretty, I don't need to look good, all I need to do is put you on the ground as fast as I can and I'll take a few punches in the process if need be.

ETA: I don't rely on tactics, either. I just try to suss out any patterns in whatever I'm fighting and work from there. I find that overthinking the situation is as bad as not thinking at all.

I like to play as a Vanguard or an Engineer the most. Aggressive close quarters combat with the Vanguard and tactical ripping away of shields/armor with the Engineer seems to be what i like. I can play as any of them really except the Sentinel. For some reason i just never enjoy playing as a Sentinel..

I've always been drawn to tanks in games, both in RPGs and in MMOs. The same has held true with both Mass Effect games where my canon Shep is a soldier rather than a caster (Adept) or one of the tech or hybdrid classes. I love the machine gun (Revenant) and heavy weapons, with the sniper rifle for long distances.

In the Bioware Star Wars MMO my first toon will be be a Jedi Knight, though I'm not sure if I'm going to go towards a more DPS or pure tank advanced class as I level.

Gameplay wise, yes I think I am very much.

I played QB and PG IRL. (I wasn't an athlete - I was more of a tactician). In FPS games I'm more of a defensive/support player. I'm okay with doing the dirty work and narrating the battlefield, so my teammates can get the glory. Not to say I'm not capable of holding the line :-). RTS games, my micro isn't good enough to be uber offensive, so I rely on superior tactics and strategy -- making me a very defensive minded player. MMO/RPG I tend to float towards the Cleric/Priest class. I love the playstyle the classes present, controling the situation through support(dispel, healing, offensive or defensive bursts, etc) it is a unique approach to the battlefield that I enjoy.

So I guess, I'm kind of fond of the Jack of all Trades/support niche in games/sports. Now in Mass Effect I played a Sentinel exclusivly and loved it, but in Mass Effect 2 I played the Vanguard a lot, it was very addicting and challenging. Now that I have played it tons, I have shifted my focus more to the Adept it is a lot more tactical and less "rambo"-ish. I can't get into the Sentinel in Mass Effect 2 -- Tech Armor completly kills it for me. I'm thinking of giving the Engineer another look as well.

And personality wise..

Not really if we're going to be critical about it. I try to roleplay my Shepard like myself/my morals, but in the context of the reality that is Mass Effect. I'm pretty reserved and quiet IRL, but I can't be that as Commander Shepard. However I can implant my love of history, technology, and information into the Mass Effect universe through Commander Shepard.

I forgot to mention that I prefer to play any RPG with my own personality or using a similar personality from my main character Flynn (A writer needs something to "visulise" his characters right?") He's a kind-hearted induvidual who will defend his allies, his friends and his love interst (if one is present) to the death. Showing no mercy for those that deserve none but he believes in second-chances. An exception being the DLC for ME1 (Bring down the Sky I think it was.) Someone who had gone that far deserves no redemption, only sweet justice being delivered.

Thinking a bit more on this. I've always charged in head first and then making a strategy as I go along. The only planning, is equipment, armour and my party build.
A nice example is Knights of the Old Republic. I used the gun and when I shifted over to the Jedi Academy...I never put down my LightSabre, like it was part of me and my honour XDD.

I'm weird :3

Interesting. I prefer ranged characters in all games, archers, mages and caster classes. My playstyle is not aggressive. In ME2 my favorites were engineer and infiltrator. In real life I tend to avoid conflicts allmost too much, secretly I'm quite aggressive, but it is well hidden (or so I try to believe), and I don't enjoy arguments.
