Are you the reflection of your play style?

I just wished AI in Gaming adhered to more than one style of combat gaming.

Interesting. I prefer ranged characters in all games, archers, mages and caster classes. My playstyle is not aggressive. In ME2 my favorites were engineer and infiltrator. In real life I tend to avoid conflicts allmost too much, secretly I'm quite aggressive, but it is well hidden (or so I try to believe), and I don't enjoy arguments.
Oddl enough that's me in a nutshell. I used to play passively and at a distance. I also tend to avoid conflicts and what-not.
Yet I feel that playing aggressively supports my allies. I play aggressively so my allies are "safe". I could support them with spells, abilities and what-not. But that means that they are still being put in danger. And I'm not the type of person to do that.
It feels weird, to change from passive/sniping to aggressive/close quarters...but at the same time I've seen results, before I'd have to use Medi-Gel on the suicide run, Usually I'd run out of it during the section with the shaft. But using a friends save (he was having trouble for some reason) I noly had to use it once.
While I can't completly protect my allies by being aggresive, I can shift the enemies attention from them, to me. If I can do that, then even if I was to fall during the battle, I know that it wasn't a waste.
Yea, bumping this topic because it's actualy a very interesting read (and prociding great ideas for personalities for my characters XD)

In most games I tend to play as
a rifleman. Sometimes I play as a DMR or a sniper. Generally, that
relegates me to taking out enemies at range an being more tactical.
Stealth is always essential in my tactics. I never really cared for
running and gunning (since it really isn't fun or rewarding or
practical) but sometimes I go for broke and I like to take my enemies
by surprise.

I know people who'll disagree. Take a nod at Call of Duty (can't believe I'm telling you to look at it...) or Gears of war. Many people will tell you that the run and gun tactic is a heavy risk but high reward strategy. It's the philosphy of the Vanguards.
I may go for Range on occason. I'm not stupid about charging in head first. I'd let the enemy come to me one at a time or if they refuse to do that, thin the numbers to something that I can deal with before I rush in head-first.
