I have run the game through a couple of times, i however always tend to play as paragonish as i can, my shep's love their romance choise truly, except the latest where i used Genesis to pick Ashley and then bedded both Kelly and Miranda.
I'm not sure I'm gonna import him anyway.
The three Shep's i really care about romanced Liara, Tali and Garrus. I really liked this as i came into ME universe after playing DA:O and DA:2. In those games you play two characters in two storylines and not one character in a continuation as this is.
I think the three sheps as metioned will stay with 'em.
Does your Shepard really care about his romance?

My Shepard is kinda lonely, up to the point that he romances Jack. That's actually kinda what my fanfic is, the personal side of Shepard, part of him you don't see because he doesn't confide in anyone on more than a business level. Ashley was different, but Virmire did them apart.
But yeah, Jack kinda "helps" my Shepard, contrary to the idea that Jackmance is the other way around.

I romanced Liara on her personality. Sure she looks good, but the whole reason I picked her over Ashley was because she had a better personality. Not racist or acts like one of the guys, just a plain old girl who's a little nerdy and shy.
In ME2, I didn't cheat on Liara because I didn't like any of the characters in ME2, sure Tali was a lot better compared to her ME1 counterpart, but I still couldn't give up Liara, so

If personality is THE determining factor, Ashley would be my Shep's one true love. She's
strong-willed, opinionated and open-minded (helped her see the errors of her budding xenophobia). Plus she's a "hellcat off the battlefield", which suits Shep just fine.

From the most dedicated to least:
Alyson (the most emotionally dedicated of my Sheps) and Mona (the calmest) will stay with Kaidan to the end. Speaking honestly, Alyson (and I as a player) entered this relationship being rather confused by his looks (especially hairdo) and added "how he looks (physical features)" at "what I like about this guy" list relatively late - at the lockers scene, as I recall.
Max (nice kind patient guy) spent all ME2 dealing with Jack's mental traumas and I don't see any reason for him to abandon LI because of physical ones.
Angel (2 saves. Seems to be romantic and understanding... but sometimes too naive and emotionally-driven) will stay with Thane and Garrus but may not be able to hide her horror to scars sometimes. If this will become a problem to LI...
John ("I do what I'm ordered to. Don't you dare judge me 'cause you haven't been through such things I've been") cheated on Ashley with Tali who died, so here's a problem. Since he's not a leader but the one to be led, it will depend on if Ashley will push to continue this relationships, not on Shepard's thoughts.
Mark is a total womanizer - he'll never hit on physically damaged woman or will continue relationships in this case. Considering he isn't going to continue existing relationships anyways, it's a not great loss.

Elizabeth shepard Romanced Kaiden and still hates herself for letting her emotions handle the Virmire situation (she saved Kaiden because she couldn't not) And in return he breaks her heart in ME 2. Its gonna take a lot from him for her to get back with him. She turned to Jacob for comfort (oh yeah she's not the best when it comes to love but bless her she tried) so if Jacob and Kaiden are both in 3 than theres a love triangle and I can't even begin to guess where it'll go now. She loves both men at this point.

It would actually be really interesting if the choice Shepard faced was saving LI vs saving a world.
Disfigurement is just too superficial to actually matter in any real world situation.
Disfigurement is also too detracting from game immersion to actually implement in a game.
Furthermore, Disfigurement or horrible scar as a detractor to love interest would actually be pretty selfish of shepard, considering that in Full Blown Renegade ME2 Shepard actually looks pretty fugly.

In a rare moment I agree with King Zeel. If the romance isn't fun, I stop doing them.
However in line with the topic, My shep is indeed committed to his LI. However now is not the time for a stable romance, and as such there is no way to judge whether my shep's feelings will pan out once the galaxy settles down. Only time will tell.

Depends on the Shepard. Most of them probably wouldn't ditch an LI just because they look different. My two maleSheps, for instance, wouldn't ditch Jack if she looked really ordinary in ME3, or dump Tali because she looks too alien. Admittedly that's not the same as serious disfigurement, but you know.
As for the Thane-taking-care-of-himself one, it would probably depend when that's happening. If it was during ME3, there isn't much she could do for him. Post-ME3, she probably would stick around to help him, and make sure he keeps in contact with his son.

Garrus: already os more machine then turian, and i'm fairly certain if sheppard liked him before i dont think it'll matter much...

Well technically no shep is a game character and one can only project onto him/her their feelings, wants, and desires.
However I like Tali's romance and value it. She is such a great match and help for mshep and would uber love to have her and his relationship fleshed out, improved on, and strengthened for 3.
For fshep and Tali's friendship I would like to have her ask fshep more questions and shep learn more about her perhapse wishes after the reapers are defeated, if she has a boyfriend or wants help finding one, and for her to give her opinions on missions where it would be obvious the character should have an opinion on it like bringing her on the geth base she has no opinion on how us letting them live would effect her people nor does she advocate blowing them up for any reason.
