I have a friend who will buy anything Dragon Age, I'll wait until he plays it and see what he has to say.

If it doesn't add any unique areas its DOA.

It's hard to venture a guess what it could be. The name makes it sound like it's family related, but if you can access it at any time, your mother and siblings can't be a crucial part because they aren't around for the entire game.

Also if you can access it at any time, can it fill in some of the time during the 3 years time skips?  That's more the kind of DLC I would have been looking for.

Given that those new screenshots that have been circulated are almost certainly from it it will have new areas.

I'm pretty sure they won't re-use the same DA2 areas (not even textures) for this DLC... unless they want to troll or insult the players. :D

I only know the name as well. I don't know how to feel about it if there's nothing to see for it yet :/.

Excited & thrilled.

But I need some more details.

Is it "just" a story DLC? Bioware stated that it listened to feedback & applied it. So...does this go for this DLC's story exclusively or will this DLC include some core fixes/options etc. that a Patch cannot cover?

It's longer than the DAO DLC but shorter than Awakening. Hmmmmm....that can mean anything or nothing.

Several DAII VO actors were teasing about this on Twitter....so the companions won't be mute & the sibling can be involved. Good.

It can be played at any time after Year one........so no connection to DAII's main plot themes? Or are there changes depending on just when you pick it up?

They took their sweet time to make this to be sure it will be well received. Good.

All in all, I want it. And more. So here's to hoping that Legacy will be amazing.

I'm not making any judgement until I play it at SDCC, but it does intrigue me greatly...

i cant understand how this dlc will be accesible during any act and at the same moment contain some serious plot or continuity value..i mean i srsly wanted a conclusion to the abigious(horrible?) ending and clearly this dlc is not it

Mike Laidlaw stated here: http://social.biowar...ex/7697770&lf=8 that the next dlc is called Legacy and can be activated at any point in the story.
Thoughts? I for one would've prefered dlc that takes place after the end of DAII.

Too early to say. That it's story-based appeals to me, but I'll wait to see if the story is interesting and interactive enough first.

It might be done more or less how Elder Scrolls typically handles its expansions. The trigger for the expansion happens fairly early on, but it's not a quest that screams "Do me now!" As long as it's not wiped away as you move from one act to the next, the player could do this whenever. Indeed, it might have elements that carry over from one act to the next. It's viable.

I'm not saying I don't want a clearer conclusion to Hawke's story. But I don't think you're going to get a conclusion of the Mage/Templar war until DA3.

I really did not enjoy DA2. So 'more of DA2' holds no interest to me. If, somehow, they manage to make sweeping changes to DA2 with this DLC, then I'll see if the changes are of the 'sweeping further into the garbage heap' variety or the 'clawing its way out of the pit' type, and make my purchasing decision then.

So, right now, since we have no real info, I have no interest in it and no decision to make.... so how do I feel about Legacy? I don't feel anything at all, yet. That'll happen later. I'm too afraid to feel any hope yet.

I'd really like my phone to have a "bookmark" option. But it has Twitter, which is *kind of* relevent to this topic.

Legacy of Kain was a fun series, I really liked Raziel... oh wait, the name for the new DLC (maybe?)

Meh. Wait and see what people think first, then maybe, and thats a big maybe, I'll consider getting it.

They made lame crap, they sell it and now they want to get more money for DLC ?
If this DLC dont add more locations, more story, real choices etc. If it will not redesign Kirkwall a little it if not add ability to change equipment on companions then forget it.

When you put flower on a **** it will not made it pretty. Also smell of **** will be always stronger than flower.

So if Legacy is not some ****ty DLC that will add another "kill 10 spiders" then meaby i will buy it. If not then sorry - i will not support DA2 because i dont want another game like DA II.

If you go in expecting a DLC (or even an expansion, really) to change everything about the game, you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

I'm hopeful to say the least.
But I think I'll hold out until I know more about it.

Though I am curious to see it redeems Anders in some way.
So far, I'd say I am slightly eager and perhaps a little excited.

I think Bioware should have went the expansion route and tried to restore good will, DLC. . .will have to be really good to get people to shell out money for it.

At least, i would think so. Dunno how that weapon pack went over.

Dragon Age 2 DLC? Who cares.

/back to ME3 forums

I'll second that.

I don't care about DA2 anymore. It's as good as dead to me.

ME3 is way more interesting.

You know, it occurs to me I've never played a great DLC from ANY game. Anyone have any suggestions?

There's been some good stuff - the story teasers in Return to Ostagar, and the build-up to the Harvester in Golems - so I keep buying. I guess I don't worry too much about a $5 or $7 dollar purchase.

Well it's worth 5$ then yeas. Return to Ostagar was nice thing. I have all DLC for DAO. But if they sell you game for 20$ (this is what i pay for DA II in promotion) and then try to sell small sidequest or stupid sword for 1/4 price of the whole game - forget it.

I'm 95% sure that I will not buy this DLC.

Any good DLC ? Well... actualy Witcher 2 have them :P It's not because they are great. 2 sidequests and bunch of items it's now what i call good DLC
(still Troll Trouble is kinda sentimental because it's clear situation from the book - soneone say to Geralt that there is a Troll under bridge when they talk about old and new times, he ask if he should kill it like in old times, but guy say that people like this dam thing because he always fix that bridge and take only small fee for crossing).

What was great about that DLC is that they are for free :-) And they already said that there will be few new DLC to Witcher 2 in next weeks - also for free.

So DLC is fun, long and give us really something worth our time (then it's good) or it's add a quest or something, some items or new location and it's free. Just to keep game alive longer.

I'm hopeful and looking forward to it, but I won't get my hopes up too high ... BW has a history of making mostly mediocre DLC for the Dragon Age series. (and ME1 for that matter ... most of the ME2 stuff was good though, so maybe they'll have learned from that)

So am I. Considering how much criticism there has been, it'd probably have to be quite large to address all fan complaints. With that said, I'm not expecting a new game entirely.

But, regardless of size, I will be buying it. I place great faith in Bioware.

Here's hoping the story-line for the DLC will be good. If so, I may buy it. Hope it's longer than an hour.

I adored DA2, so more of that sounds like a good thing to me. I'm excited that so many of the companions' VAs teased they were doing some recording for this. One of the things that bugged me about so much of the DAO DLC was how our companions were absent or largely silent.

Not having many details right now, though, it's hard to say more. I'm guessing it'll have something to do with the Wardens and their super-secret presence in Kirkwall, but who knows? Hopefully we'll get more information before SDCC, because that's a month away and I have a problem with this thing you call patience.
