So I'm guessing the architect's form is like the next stage in evolution for darkspawn?

Genlocks burrow to the surface to appear on the screen.

I think this one is an arcane horror, but with armor?

Personally, I am very confused about the story direction taken with Legacy. One of the major complaints about DA2 is you are stuck in a city, with very few areas to explore. A city that USED to be a prison, which is ironic, because you were pretty much confined to it. And you finally get to venture out into the world... and it's to another prison. Personally, what I was hoping for was maybe some filler between Acts 1 and 2 and Acts 2 and 3. There's a lot that seemed to be missing there story wise. Ah well, I'll wait to read the reviews, and will purchase it if it's any good. I did like most of the ME2 DLC content... so maybe there's some hope.

That's what I want to believe as well.  It's just that I'm soooooooo worn out with Hawke and his uncompelling saga.  I know there are those around here who are going to get this from day one, some of them have higher standards than others and actually take the time to post honest reviews instead of the typical game studio worship that comes common with most gaming forums.

I'll wait to see what they have to say about it.

Hawke has more background than any origin, and they have a voice, they're a much better character than the grey boredom

And that's why he/she doesn't feel like your character. With the Grey Warden, you were able to make decisions that would shape his personality not just in what he says, but what he does. In DA2, you're not given those choices. You're just playing through a set course of events that you have no control over.

Having now seen the trailer, It looks pretty awesome. But still not going to pay 10 dollars for it. They should be giving it to everyone for free as an apology. With that sort of good will gesture, I *might* be willing to buy whatever they release after.

And any comments to the tune of "they can't do something like that", I call hogwash. Valve has done it for years. CDProject did it with Enhanced Edition of Witcher, and Witcher 2 DLC.

CDProject had to do it with Witcher 1 because the game was almost unplayable due to the sheer number of bugs and missing and /or unfinishable questswhen it launched. The game became playable and much better with the Enhanced Edition.

This DLC looks worth it, but i stand to wait until the Ultimate Edition of DA2 comes out. DA2 also looked awesome and it turned out to be just like all the other games that are released nowadays, forgettable.

I want a memoriable game to be release like Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 1 and 2, those games i will remember and love. Same goes with Ubisofts Assassin Creed series even through most of the games has the same crap going throughout all 3 games the story so compelling to want to complete them and see how things will turn out. Also the same goes for Zelda games, same stuff going for it in that series and far more rememoriable than DA2 ever will be in my opinion. I just feel at this point DA2 is an average game compared to other games i played.

It seems cool, but I won't buy it, It wont probably add anything really important to the story and besides. I have too many cool games to buy.

More like a long line of inappropriately sarcastic badasses who said the wrong thing to the Maker and He got so offended that he left Thedas for greener pastures.  And then Hawke saw that it was good.  Amen.

They did it in Witcher 2 as well, IIRC, which I what I figured he was talking about.  As a matter of fact, I think all story based dlc for the Witcher 2 is free, but I may be wrong.

I am expecting that Hawke's legacy will be the creation of Darkspawn, or the assistance of their creation.

But more importantly, will Rogue Hawke make a pair of daggers or will it just be one, because if it's one, Rogue has a poorer reward than the other classes.

Maybe it will just be a bow, regardless of what spec you have. :P

Anyway... I'm excited for Legacy. As for what the Hawke Legacy actually is... I think that a Grey Warden Hawke (or a Hawke working with the Wardens) locked away the Conductor, with the only key being the Hawke Bloodline. The reason for it being a "terrible secret" or whatever may be because the purpose of the prison, and the exsistance of the Conductor was only known by those directly involved or told to the highest echilon of Grey Wardens at Weishaupt Fortress (I think theyve kept Fiona a secret anyway).

Just my early thoughts. XD

That's a good point too.  What about Bows versus daggers. . .some of us don't play bow rogues and vice versa.

I only need one thing to change if I'm to buy this DLC. Encounters. 2 things Disappointed me the most about DA 2. The reused areas and the fact that every fight was just take a few enemy types throw them at Hawke and then have an unbelievable amount of enemies magically spawn over and over from everywhere ON EVERY SINGLE ENCOUNTER WITHOUT FAIL. well that and the fact that you made enemy rogues capable of taking more damage than most enemy warriors (also Templar rogues wtf Bioware).

If they are really listening to our complaints then make the fights more memorable. I actually had fun with some of the boss fights in DA 2 cause they mixed things up a little. I'm also not saying spawning enemies has to be given the boot but make it believable and don't do it for every single fight or people get sick of it. Zombie graveyard = ok. Charging an enemy stronghold/gang hideout = ok. eight random thugs beating up some elf and me saving said elf only for 50 more thugs to show up dropping from the air and coming out of every single forsaken alley = Brain damage. But the game is built that way and the many many AOE abilities you get mirror that. It just shouldn't be that hard to make a fun interesting fight with a handful of enemies of various types positioned carefully.

Bioware can do it. I've seen them do it. Example A: Fight for the Celestial Fury in BG 2 Example B: Marjolaine fight in DAO (can't find good video) but those are (optional) boss like encounters and thus bad examples. The point is Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age Origins were able to give functional if not memorable encounters that weren't boss fights without having baddies spawning from every conceivable orifice (or willing into existence) and I know Bioware can do it with DA 2! It is after all descended from those 2 games so it must have the capacity. They just have to not rush the dlc like they did the game and put a little more thought into it. It's a 2-3 hour DLC right? I'm sure they can do what needs to be done to make it great. There will probably be some spawning... we are after all fighting darkspawn and now that the blight is over they probably fill every tunnel and are in every mountain. Not to mention a single broodmother can make thousands of em easy. That doesn't mean the DLC is a complete spawnfest like the main game right?
This all goes well and I'll happily buy this DLC and every DLC they put out for this game.:wizard:

I'm kind of disappointed that they're sticking to Hawk for this DLC. The faster that Bioware moves away from this failed protagonist and his story, the better.

Hey it comes out on my birthday. Bioware should give it to me for free as a present.
