As for the rest: You keep saying that over & over. Add the obligatory TW2 reference and we have repeated enviro-....er....never mind me.

Ironically, you keep mentionning TW2 nowadays, as well as saying the same over and over, when no one addressed or bothered you.

Nuh uh. Just today I was raving about M&M VI , which I haven't done in a looooooong time. ;) I also don't think we'd have many threads going if people were required to be adressed by name to post.

Bothered.....I am bothered by several things here, most of them NOT including you. But the constant negativity sure bothers me. Esp. when its about content nobody but the devs has seen yet!:)

My only fear is that because you can access it at any time it won't be specific to fleshing out any particular point of the existing story. Like Hawke's first year in Kirkwall, or what happens during the 3 year time skips.

But I'll wait until they put out some details.

Judging by the name, it may be something about the enigma of Kirkwall and it being the legacy of Tevinter.

But that might not explain what seems to be an old Warden base. And it being accessible at any time might make that difficult, since IIRC the enigma of Kirwkall codices can't all be found at the very beginning.

True that, KOP.

And given that it may be started in Act I, the sibling maybe becoming a *Spoiler* also does not provide the connection necessary to start a Warden based storyline.

Mike mentioned interesting revelations as well as improvements based on fan feedback....

I wonder how much of either will hold true in the end. I do have a good feeling though. They'd be insane to release/hype a half-baked DLC now.

It's more likely I'll become humble than that happening :P

As someone who liked DA2 I'm glad to see more content for it. I am curious about the story of Legacy and how much dialogue teh companions will have.

Can't wait for more details.

Awakening "could be started at any point of the story", but it was after origins, it just made the choices for you

Actually, Awakening was an expansion you had to import your character into. From what we've heard so far it seems that DA2: Legacy will be more like Return to Ostagar or Warden's Keep. You access the DLC at any point during the game after Hawke and family arrive in Kirkwall.

I don't know. Since it's still such a long way off and I'm in my fourth playthrough, it's possible I will be totally sick of it by then. And after I've built four Hawkes, if it's just an added quest, I will probably have to move on to another game.

This.

I just finished another runthrough of DAA using a different party composition so I would have an import file that would allow me to access spoiler in DA2.  I was planning to purchase The Exiled Prince and possibly the item pack, and then doing another playthrough with that new (for me, anyway) content.  The timing of this announcement sort of thwarted that plan.

They've been hinting at story DLC for awhile, and now we know when it will be previewed, but still have no sense of when it will be available for purchase.

So I guess I'll be moving on to other interests.  Whether or when I'll come back for another run of DA2 remains to be seen.

I was just about to start a new playthrough myself. But i rather wait for the DLC Legacy and do it then so I don´t get tired of the game. Considering I already played it 3 times.
Hopefully they release it soon after the downloadable demo in july.

You must be dreaming! Soldier's Peak, Return To Ostagar, Witch Hunt, Stone Prisoner, Leliana's Song, Bring down The Sky, Lair Of The Shaodw Broker, Arrival, Overlord....... None of them even reached to 4 hours.... It's totally imposible that a new DLC will take the original game's 25% of time.

My thoughts:

"A month before we see it? It was a month away yesterday! It's not getting any closer!"

"It's not post campaign? Hope it has some good tie-ins to the main game, at least."

"Griffons?"

That's pretty much it so far.
Edit: Also, excitement! I'm looking forward to it very much.

All we can really hope for is that this is more in the vein of shadow broker or lelianas song rather then witch hunt or arrival.

If the quality of the DLC is worth it then I really dont care if it's only an hour or so.

LoSTB was better than most of ME2. Bioware has real quality to them, I just don't see how this DLC will work.

If the quality of the DLC is good i will buy it. I hope it will be 2-4 hours long and that the biggest part of the DLC is story and not combat.

Mike Laidlaw refered to a DLC of Neverwinter Nights (he said that Legacy wouldnt be as long as that!). I believe that was around 25 hours. Now, I am not saying that it would be near that amount of gameplay time (cause that would be an expansion right?) BUT, he could have refered to Origins DLC which you are correct: around 2 hours of gameplay.. But he didn't...

So that makes me wonder... how big will it be?... :?
