I have no idea what the picture of the "Ancient Evil" is supposed to be, which is good, means they're probably coming with something we haven't seen before.

Kinda just looks like a man with big hair! Im thinking that "Conductor" may mean that hes a mage, maybe with lots of lightning spells. Just a guess though.

hehe... my phrasing does kind of sound silly :pinched:, my point is just that the ancient evil will probably have a unique model

Tenner bet says it uses the giant rock wraith model or a giant pride demon model. Lol.

Getting excited for anything DA2 is an up hill battle for me. :(

I want to get excited for it because it's something new from Bioware but DA2 was kind of a let down, especially on the PC and I won't even get into the DLC of Origins. *sigh* :(

I think the Conductor is like the Architect. Even the design looks very darkspawn like.

They'll be disciples of the Conductor. We'll learn more about the darkspawn, and there'll be a GW-Hawke connection. Which might explain why the Warden & Hawke both matter.

you wouldn't have to play through the whole game again. You can just boot up your DA2 autosave from after you beat the game and do it, because that autosave takes place before The Last Straw.

It's the same as if you beat the Archdemon in Origins but forgot to do Warden's Keep. You can just load the autosave which would allow you to go and do that quest.

I'm gonna withhold judgement until its released. Knowing the name and achievements doesn't tell me much so jumping to conclusions doesn't make any logical sense. My guess is that it will most likely be 800 points.I was kinda hoping for post act 3 dlc but this will do.

yeh I get that, but once I buy a dlc I usually prefer to replay the story from the start. I find it kinda hard to appreciate it when I just play the dlc on its own.

i genraly only buy dlc for games im prepared to replay

^not really sure if any of that made sense I am immensely tired

Im wondering If my warden in my warden story i uploaded was a dual wielding warrior, and dragon age legacy does bring my warden and Hawk 2gether. Will my warden still be a dual weilder or will he be sporting a sword and shield or maby a two handed weapon?

You might get a mention of the warden, but  I  doubt the warden will come back pysically. Please dont use text speak..

That would indeed be awesome Cyber, everything gets better with a holy hand grenade.

And I'm a bit surprised, that voice actors were involved at this point. I was actually sure, that the dlc was already finished since release and they just had to update the layout since they reused everything again.

I tend to look towards the opinions of a few friends that have somewhat the same mindset I have. That way there is no spoiler stuff.

How do I feel about it? It won't be a day one purchase, certainly. If it somehow addresses some of the game's inherent issues, like they said, and gets some good reviews in the process, I'd look into it. Though, I'm just not really jonesing to continue Hawke's adventures at this point. That whole experience is still not setting well with me, surprisingly enough.

Legacy has its work cut out for it in my case.

I'm getting the impression that a lot of people think this DLC will be an expansion sized one that will magically fix some of the main games problems.....when in reality it wont.

If anything i expect a good story based DLC around the size of ME2 overlord and shaodw broker dlc's, with better use of waves so they dont happen every fight and a few good bits of loot.

I will probably but it on release as i like the story and world of thedas above all else.

while I would like to see someone outside of companions who isn't a total blithering idiot, I do not want to see DA2 clownspawn Disciples. If the Disciples return, it better be using DA:O style Disciples.

Agreed.

But if it's darkspawn business, the Warden, not Hawke, should be involved.  And if it's about Hawke's family - well, trying to care about Hawke's family has not panned out well, so I quit doing that.

For me DA2 needs something big, I felt so rushed through the main story there was no time to connect with anything so i'd only consider getting something which really expands and gives more detail to the game. We already know its not awakenings size so i'm wary of this already.

I'll get it. In part because I liked DA2 enough to run with it, in part because I'm compulsive about my gamerscore %. Either way, 800 MSP (worst-case) isn't too much for a few hours of entertainment. Cheaper than going to a movie I guess.

It looks like a fairly similar set-up to the Golems DLC, but who knows.

Is it "just" a story DLC? Bioware stated that it listened to feedback & applied it. So...does this go for this DLC's story exclusively or will this DLC include some core fixes/options etc. that a Patch cannot cover?

I'm not sure that core fixes included in a non-free DLC would be a good move. Actually, I think it would be the worst move ever in the history of bad moves.

No, thats happening to CCP right now on the EVE-O forums... trust me the rage that DA2 generated has nothing on that
