Where do I get it? I remember getting it somewhere before, but I formatted my computer. Now the URL it gives me brings me to the Bioware homepage, and after logging in it brings me to the BSN profile page. I am not sure where to find the key in there.

I have a similar problem : to install Bring Down the Sky, I need a cd key which I'm supposed to received once I've registered my Mass Effect but where do I do that ? When I want to do that on the EA website It only shows me the games I've added on my library.
Where do I register Mass Effect ?
How do I get the CD key for Bring down the sky ?
I'm lost and pretty pissed off !
thanks for any help !

I think the best way to get a CD key is to enter an EA Live Chat through their support page, when you login to their website.
I know they have been helpful with problems relating to ME2 DLC.
And with this current forum, you are currently unable to register ME1 as far as I know.
Good luck and I'll try to help as best I can, (I don't have personal experience with ME1 on the PC yet).

No, it's not available for free. It's $5 US on EA's Origin store. Only Bring Down the Sky was free.

Okay 2.00am 02/25/2012. Just started playing the Mass-Effect games again ( I - II ).
I had lost my files to a hard drive crash and CD-Keys to boot.
While trying to get my hands ( BRINGING DOWN THE SKY ) I found out my CD-Key for it was one
of the things I had lost.
No worries though I thought because I just bought a brand new digital copy on ORGIN for ME1-2.
But when I try to go to BIOWARE to register my ME1 so I can get a new CD-Key for ( BDTS ) I
find out there is no place to register it.
Now I see from post above people have have called support for help on this what I need to know is,
do I call
A. ORGIN
B. EA
C. or BIOWARE ?
If some can post a number they used to get support on this issue that would really nice cause I'm of these automated systems. I wait for a half hour on the phone just to find out I'm in the wrong
place only to be told they don't have the number for the place I need to be.
HELP!!!!! Pretty please ..... Your fellow commander Yodenheim.

I'm having the same exact issue. I'm trying to find my CD key again, but I guess Bioware Community has shifted over completely to Bioware social. I would like to have access to my BDTS cd key, since I already registered my game years ago.

Has this issue been resolved yet. This is the first link I come across in Google trying to resolve this issue.

I would like to know this too. I was able to get EA to finally add my ME1 key to Origin (manually, after a long conversation in the Origin chat), but it didn't help for adding BDtS to my game. I suppose I will have to contact them again.
Considering the popularity of this series, it is puzzling how EA and BioWare makes it so complicated to enjoy the free content associated with Mass Effect 1.

EA Support is ****ing atrocious. I've been waiting for days to get a CD key and no response, no matter how much I complain about it.
It looks like torrent is the go.

I would go to help.ea.com. Open a case with ORIGIN / ORIGIN so you can get to live chat. Then tell the people on chat your story. They help really fast and have great service.

Just now the instructions HERE worked for me....
https://help.ea.com/...-dlc-redemption
I have a fully legal copy of Mass Effect 1, and back when it was still available, I did obtain an actual CD key, but with the old Bioware site now completely gone, this was what I figured out to do in order to install it on my new computer. Whether or not my previously having had an actual CD-key of my own is a factor or not, I cannot say.

as they give that cdkey to anyone who owns the game, why dont they just remove the CD key check instead?

well, knowledge base sends me to "contact customer" page, and it sends me back to knowledge base page. quite nice loop EA support did build up there. well, i feel like a hamster running in a wheel.
and for the first time in my life with an EA product, assumed this could end easily.

EA now has a special page that lists a download key that can be used. If it doesn't work, they say to contact customer support.
