I hated the fact that all those health mod armor parts were basically a waste of time maybe with the highest armor setup that boosted health/shields you could last about 2-3 seconds longer the instant health regeneration made them even more useless why not remove it and have some useful setups wether you could be tank with low damage,or a killer with low health7sields they can also return Medi-gel for that

that would allow for more strategical builds enhancing the experience.

Edit:Changed title.

An extra 2-3 seconds is huge!!! I thought the gameplay in ME2 was great and the fragility of Shepard was a big part of that.

Any topic that asks this, you have my support. I've been pretty consistent with hoping BW will really take a look into this. The shields and armor even when upgraded had a very low protection rate. Insanity was a beast but with adequate shielding it could have still been as hard but a little more forgiving. I don't want shields and armor elevated to the point of being indestructible but I do want them to reflect the amount of upgrades attached to them. Upgraded my shields 6 times, did an Insanity run and suffered greatly from 4 to 5 shots. Still beat multiple times but I feel like it wasn't worth the time or effort upgrading them.

i didn't really like the ME1 medi-gel quite as much as the ME2 style. but, i think i would fall into the shooter fan category rather than the rpg fan category, so i don't think that what i have to say carries as much weight.

Well in a fire fight.... even with a Barriar/kinetic shield up... I still dont think shepard should be able to wade in taking fire from multiple enemies unscathed....

As much as i love my shepard... he's not some kinda reaper or something.....

But you can still go all out, but I think its just absurd to want to wade into the middle of a gunfight and just rely on luck. But i do agree that shield DID drop rather quickly without the use of shielding power like tech armor/Geth shield boost/fortification/Barrier and so on.

I could probably do something like it with the Infiltrator.

I hope you people are aware that shields are mostly there to buy you time to get into cover, not to turn you into Rambo.

Well, they said that armor customization in ME3 will be improved, but I don't know.

While I am generally fine with how much the shields protected you I do think if you are going to take the time to put shield mods in the game they should be worth while. Your shield instantly being destroyed with or without mods is kind of lame. The only thing the shields really did was the 1ish second of invulnerability you got when they burst.

I mean to improve it as much as too see a difference between modden and unmodded Shepard and not be THAT frail. But not as much as to be able to stand still for 10 minutes without doing absolutely anything like you did in ME1.

That's a terrible example. The Colossus is not firing it's machine gun, otherwise that wouldn't work.

What example would you like? There are tons of videos all over youtube of players of all classes kicking the **** out of ME2 on insanity. It's not a hard game, and Shepard doesn't die constantly if you know what you're doing. And that includes fighting enemies out of cover.

I too felt that those mods were essentially useless. So here's a "please" from me too to make such mods make a larger effect.
