I imported a saved game where I killed Zevran.

So now apparently I can't get this quest. I wouldn't care except this quest directly leads to Isabella's last armor upgrade.  It's annoying to find out that the companion you are romancing and using in your party has her armor upgrade  locked out from a decision you made before even starting the game.

Is there any way around this including cheat codes to simply obtain that last upgrade? Adding an extra 100+ defence would be quite handy for Isabella.

You can probably use it to cheat in the last armor upgrade by using the Vaddin addon, but if you'd rather do the actual quest: 

Once you enable the console, use the command zz_dae_debug.  The prompt is invisible, so once you hit whatever shortcut you assigned, you just have to blindly enter the command and press enter.  Then navigate through the menu like this: plot jump --> secondary plots --> one-offs --> jump to a plot --> Act 3 --> A Murder of Crows --> Sundermount. You'll be in front of the quest giver and can start the quest.

I got it.

Only difficulty was I have the DVD version and trying to use the tilda key (Kanji) didn't work for me. I had to change to X and then use CTRL-X to be able to run the invisible command.

Once in, it was a snap.

No problem. I ran into the same problem however many playthroughs ago when I couldn't do Finding Nathaniel and couldn't live without Varric's last armor upgrade. Glad to help.
