What class needs biggest overhaul and biggest nerf?

For overpowered i would say sentinel needs some tweaks the armor they have imo is was to good and 90% of people would play it for that reason alone.

For underpowered i would say engineer they imporved it a bit in mass effect 2 but still least played class combat drone should be more powerful it does little but harass it should be vital tool.

Sentinel is great. Please don't nerf it. I don't see why "balance" is so important. This isn't multiplayer. As long as it's not some stupid false-choice like "god class" vs. "Joker Moreau class" then it's not a huge deal.

Actually your wrong. Balance is important no matter what why have other classes then?

Rpg is most improtant imo to be balanced than an online shooter.

I'd make some changes to how soldier works. I'd probably drop the damage bonus from Adrenaline Rush, up the damage resistance to AR, and make the Soldier's passive give around a +50% damage bonus for weapons.

I'd also give engineer some kind of defensive power. That class isn't supposed to be a tank like a sentinel or do the raw weapon damage of the soldier, but engineers are still really fragile.

You just helped prove my point overpowered class makes game less fun.

What if your a enigneer i mean if class sucks you might think the game is boring or broke.

Fun-factor comes first. No one is saying to make classes uber-beings. It's about having fun playing them.

Exactly - I don't mind my character being a little more balanced towards super-being - as long as they've got abilities that are enjoyable to use and don't feel useless.

But then again - I probably shouldn't be in this thread - because I just speed through the combat(don't really care for it much) to get to the story / dialogue part of the game so...adios!

Forget Tech armor, Engineers need the ability to spawn YMIR mechs.

Those are notably non-interactive - except for the fast-forward, rewind, and pause buttons, which don't exactly drip with immersion.

OP: I think the Engineer needs to have a bit more oomph - whether in terms of killing power or protection, I'm not sure - but I don't think anything is fundamentally broken (except the Mattock + Adrenaline Rush combo).

Not exactly class related but I'd tweak the Mattock a bit so that under AR it would fire more like the Viper or Predator.

Then I'd keep biotic powers limited to biotic capable classes only (as much as I liked slam and stasis on my soldier, I'm fine with such a restriction) and this would included warp ammo as a biotic ability.

And that's about it. : )

The Mattock and Stasis need to be nerfed, none of the classes were significantly unbalanced either way. All the classes should be enhanced with a couple of new powers, new evolutions, more levels, new weapons and upgrades.

And obviously new enemies to fight.

Actually your wrong. Balance is important no matter what why have other classes then?

Rpg is most improtant imo to be balanced than an online shooter.


I'd actually just like a completely open-ended one which hinges on howmuch time you put into character-development.  This is one aspect I love of Oblivion.  Of course, there are pre-defined classes, but you can customize.

 The easiest way to nerf the Sentinel is to remove the timer on Geth Shield Boost/Barrier/Fortification. This would give players incentive to play other classes while not reducing the Tech armor effectiveness because its the only shield ability to actually do damage to enemies.

I would love for the vanguard to have a singularity or stasis to immobilize enemies before charging. I didn't like shockwave and maybe add warp ammo as a base part of the class or cryo ammo to shoot and smash with charge.

But being incredible overpowered is fun!
