Well, to hopefully add to the pile of non-arumentative and on-topic posts, I'd like to say that I have to agree with the OP. I just enjoy the writing that went in to the characters and I think it says something about them when I decide to listen to their lines during conversation even though I'm playing through the game the umpteenth time.
That might also tie into the voicework, now that I think about it, though..
To be honest, I like everybody.

I like all of ´em, but can´t really say I love some of ´em. I guess I like Tali and Garrus because of ME1, but more than that...I like Samara very much as well, Miranda is OK I guess. Thane is interesting too.

As AC already said, can´t wait to see them again in ME3! (I still haven´t got a playthrough where I choose Morinth over Samara...should do that.Implications unpleasant though, if let go after SM =D)

Yup, even if I really prefer one over another, when you realize they are capable of following you to any corner of the galaxy, then it´s when you begin to saw them differently, and love them all xD
