will we ever get to see the inside of a relay? there huge! there has to be some one or some thing on it to make it run for so many years,maybe more keepers inside of it? an offshoot of the keepers,hm would be cool to have a peak inside lol

They already had FTL travel and mass effect technology thanks to the Prothean data cache on Mars, so the difficulties of launcing a project to unfreeze the relay would be greatly lessened already. 

As for activating a relay, no specifics are ever described but considering the Reapers want advanced organic beings to use them, it stands to reason that they would be designed in the most user-friendly way possible in order to get people using them. Activating them is probably almost completely automated.

It's an interesting question, I think it would be great if we could enter a Relay and see its interior.
