im glad they are back in me3 but they move more like a real grenade from gameplay vids, the ones in me1 seem much better for tactical use since they would hover in the air until you detonate them which was perfect for taking out 2-3 geths push up on you. i know its to early to say what it will be like but what do you guys think?

I liked the way you could hit a grenade near a explosive container, and then big boom geth to the next world when they got close to it.

So I sorta prefer the straight, flying, detonate-when-you-want method. I mean, we are playing a sci-fi game! Though the best option would be the ability to switch between lobbing and straight-flying.

I think its a soldier specific grenade, and that each class will have their own Grenade/mine type

Soldier: frag grenades
Engineer: incindiary grenade
Adept: immobility trap
infiltrator: proximity mines
sentinel: flashbang grenade
vanguard: concussive grenade

meh it be better if you could just add a effect to it like the first one did regardless of what class you are

The frisbee grenades were fun... I loved behind able to throw them straight at an enemy's head and trigger the detonator, blasting them right in the face and sending 'em flying... good times.

Would love to see the frisbee grenade come back.

i'd rather my grenades work like genades rather than the unstopable death disc they gave me in ME1.

They were good to knock husks out and then shoot them with shotty.

Only in the later half of the game or on insanity difficulty... since they had a static amount of damage that didn't scale with level, they were insanely powerful at low level (1 shot killed anything) and reasonably powerful at mid level... then useless by level 25 or so (enemy health scaled too far).

However, explosive grenades with the force modification upgrade were still useful.. not for damage but to send enemies flying all over the place.

They were effective, but were drowned out by the overpowered weapons you were given, especially at later levels. Since Shepard takes less hits (assuming) like in ME2, the new grenades can be used in desperate situations.

I wouldn't mind the frisbee grenades coming back, just as long as we have tossed grenades as well.
