I understand why Shep's neck has to be long--to avoid graphical clipping issues with the armor--but I'd be lying if I said femShep's crazy neck didn't kind of bother me. It's much less pronounced in ME2, but what irks me most about it is that it has absolutely no definition. I get that she doesn't need bulging neck-muscles like Sheploo, but holy carp, it looks like a woodly sausage sometimes.

i never even noticed the neck issue before but looking back the Commander does have a long neck.

I think most people would find men & women with longer necks slightly more attractive (though I doubt too many people give it much consideration).
The key problem is that in ME they're somewhat long but also... um, gumby-like in appearance... it bends at times in rubbery and impossible ways that no human neck is designed to.... when the neck is long, those unatural bending motions are much more pronounced (see the video I linked to in my earlier posts for a good example) and thus the source of this (albeit minor) annoyance / problem.
