Look at the very bottom of this page: http://masseffect.wi...Ashley_Williams

I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it's basically saying that she'll be in Mass Effect 3 as more than just someone you see. What do you think she would say if you were in a relationship with someone else in Mass Effect 2? What would she say if you remained loyal all this time?

To Answer the Title:

I personally don't think so, 2 of my characters chose not to remain loyal, and i think i made a good decision, Ashley wasn't that interesting to me anyway. But i'm kind of curious as to what she will say, or rather what i get to respond with. Hopefully an option to say: Get over it, or [Walk Away] where my character just completely ignores her and leaves the room. that would be hilarious.

Well I think it is up to you wether it is worth it.

She is one of my favorite characters of all time. So for me Ash is always worth it.

She is a confirmed permanent squad member in ME3. Why not do multiple playthroughs? I have one that was loyal and others that weren't. Cheating on Ashley with Miranda should be interesting in ME3.

This.

If you weren't interested in said character, there was no reason to romance them in the first place.

I read somewhere that it was confirmed. If you were with someone in the first Mass Effect and then had a different relationship in Mass Effect 2, there will be a confrontation in Mass Effect 3.

In my case, Ashley + Miranda. I assume it would be more like a " You slept with both of us? WE HATE YOU! " kind of thing more so than a " Choose between us! " kind of deal.

This is how I imagine THAT particular thing would go down. How Kaiden and Garrus are gonna feel when I hit ME3 might be a bit different. For starters, they're both ME1 original characters.

Don't get me wrong though, I'd much rather stur up another catfight like in Mass Effect 1! Also would you do me the honor of answering this question: http://social.biowar...5/index/7710265

Whatever she'd say, it'd involve poetry. And for that she dies on Virmire every time.

I always liked the poetry. That's why Kaidan always sacrifices himself on Virmire for the greater good (at least in MY canon).

kaiden was just not interesting in my opinion, even if you tryed to dialogue with him after missions. he did not have much to say, and was kind of dull. ashley is full of personality, and usually has some funny comments in dialogue. i felt it was worth it to stay loyal with ash, i loved her character ever since i saved her from those geth on eden prime.

i have never switched up L.I with my shepards, but im sort of tempted to try (so i can see the drama unfold :P)

I don't think it will be catfight, or even "I hate you, cheater!". For me, the consequence of "cheating" will be ME2 LI questioning Shepard if s/he has a serious feelings or just blowing off steam again with resulting persuasion check.
But really - why romance character if you're not interested in him/her and why have two LIs in one savegame if you afraid of consequences?
