So the one thing that was for unknown an reason missing in Mass Effect 2 were those wires on the back of the helmet running to a shield generator on the back, i personally thought it  was a pretty neat little feature.

Now i would kindly ask biowere if they will be back,? and why or why not.

I've created a poll here: social.bioware.com/1523087/polls/21433/

Comments and suggestions are of course welcome.

They could probably get rid of those wires with the use of electromagnetic induction.

Right, but i agree it would be nice if the game came up with an explanation.

Yet, everybody else still seems to use them, even the port is visable on the back of th N7 helmet, Maybe it was just to much time animating

I thought those were there for air.

Right...  because air is everywhere in space.  C'mon man!  :P

EDIT: Seriously, they are there for air.

Good point.... though admittedly I liked the retro-style look of the helmets / o2 tubes in ME1... added to the charm.

They're an obvious structural weakness, though. Getting rid of them makes sense.

That's what I always assumed.

Would be nice if they put them in as a choice for armor customization, that way everybody would be happy ;)

Aren't the tubes being cut are what caused depressurization in Shepards suit at the beginning of ME2?

I think his air tank ruptured.
But, whatever.
Structural weakness. Needs to go.

Uh, the tubes are there to let air OUT.
They were pretty important.

Maybe they'll put something better than them. Plus, they are a structural weakness if damaged, somehow :/

They should just replace the physical tubes with tubes of mass effect field. Any projectile or object that could damage the physical tubes would just harmlessly pass through the mass effect tubes. :wizard:

What? Mass effect fields can do anything!

^ I certainly hope the mass effect fields don't become the "nanomachines" of ME3.

While we're at it, let's replace guns with hologram-guns! Hey, it works for swords!
