Okay here's the big deal,

I bought a SSD and because of his limited space I created a "mklink" to the steamapps folder of steam. Now every single time I try to install a Mass Effect DLC (both ME1 and ME2) keeps saying "Mass Effect 1/2 doesnt' appear to be installed".

What can I do?

DLC installs look for entries in the registry. If you have moved the files to another drive, added the mklink and not updated the registry, then thats your problem.
