So I finished ME2 once already  I didn't save Miranda but it made sense because she wasn't loyal but I didn't put her in a stupid situation either. Thane and Legion weren't loyal but they survived. I arrived to the Collector base and saved the crew and had Mordin escort them back.

I just finished playing the game through again with the imported charachter. This time, I had everyone's loyalty. I exhausted all conversations with the characters. After acquiring Legion, I did his mission right away BEFORE the Collectors abducted the crew.


I went after the crew immediately. Garrus led the fire team, Tali was the tech. What made me furious was that somehow, all the crew died before getting to the Collector ship. It didn't even give me the option to have a biotic create the barrier so I missed a part of the game.  To make things even worse, Mordin died somehow, I don't get it, he was loyal and not put into a compromising situation.

What is going on? Everyone loyal, ship upgraded, no time wasted, all the right people assigned for the right jobs. Yet crew is already dead upon arrival and then for some reason Mordin too.

It didn't give you the option for the biotic barrier? That sounds like your game is broken somehow. It's okay, once I was doing Tali's loyalty mission and instead of greeting Shala'Raan like an old friend, she immediately skipped to "You set me up, Shala!"

In any case, when you say the crew was dead, do you mean everyone but Dr. Chakwas? Or did you send them back to the Normandy by themselves? That kills all of them off.

Tell me, who did you bring with you to the Reaper fight at the end? And also, do you have Zaeed and Kasumi DLC?

I never even got the chance to see them. I got onto the Collector ship, Tali in vents. I did that hole part where I had to keep opening bypass valves for her. I rejoined the fire team lead by Garrus. At that point, Joker went over the radio and stated that the crew was dead. No option for biotic, straight to human reaper with the crew of my choosing. I took Kasumi and Grunt. At the end cut scene, Mordin's body was on the floor.

Yeah, your game glitched then, bro. That'll happen on occasion, unfortunately. And you said you had Kasumi, but did you have Zaeed?

In any case, you bringing Grunt with you to the Reaper is probably what killed off Mordin. You should always leave Garrus, Grunt and Zaeed at the door with the others, that'll usually make sure most survive. If all others are loyal, they pretty much will all survive.

I'd recommend reloading from an earlier save (if you have one) and trying again. Hopefully it won't glitch next time.

I went back and did it again. The lack of biotic barrier section was a glitch but Mordin dying was because I took Grunt and only left Garrus to be one of the strong defenders. All is well now lol
