Couldnt be bothered to make a new level and go thru all that render crap stuff as it creates to many errors, so I just decided to reuse original Areas instead without the hassle of building a whole new dungeon.

Problem is... for some bizarre reason there is no lighting effects in the areas I added to my module, like everything is very dark compared to the games fancy pretty bolom lighting effects version of the areas.

I made a new module, added urn ruins area went in game to check it out, dark! not as bright as the the original game version.

Did bioware remove all the bloom lighting effects to the areas that we can use like wtf? NOT talking about levels here! This is about the Areas.

mumble on sorry, my question is how can I enable the original lighting in the chosen 'Area' I load to my module?

bioware used color correction files to enhance the contrast and colors. dunno if this has such an impact to brighten up the area. in general they darken the area through contrast to pop up the colors. you can also play with the brightness and hue settings within the aredata.2da. the color correction (cc.dds textures) are handled there too.

See wiki for general info on 2DA files.

I wonder whether something else is going wrong, though. Another post is also complaining about the lighting of official levels. I'm puzzled because AFAIK there's no easy way to turn the official lighting off!
