I use default. Personally I just find that since its based off a real person the look is just so much more real...there is just a look in Shepards eyes and face of the default Shepard that gives him so much more personality and makes him look better.
Am i only one who uses default look?

Only for Male Shep, his voice just sounds weird when ever I make a new shepard...

I don't like Sheploo's face, so I custom my own Shep...I am hoping BW gives better skin textures and hair style options for custom Sheps though in ME3.

Ohh wow so Soldier is picked by at least 51% of the playersAwesomeEffect2 wrote...
EDIT: Actually, it's much more than that. 65% use Soldier: www.destructoid.com/mass-effect-2-player-choice-statistics-are-surprising-188362.phtml

I cant play as Default shepard...well.
I DO have a few PC saves as Default shepard and One or two 360 completions as Default shepard... but those are almost always Renegade Speed runs.
I just never connect with him and I've played Custom shepards So much that Vanderloo Shepard frightens me
.
I much prefer my awesome custom shepards.

I use the default face for male Shepard, and a custom one for female Shepard. I'd make a custom male Shepard, but it's weird for me because he still has the same voice/personality.

I don't get why people us Soldier. Every game has guns, but how many have cool powers like Mass Effect?IsaacShep wrote...

On John I use default. He's purdy
...for my Fem-shep I pinched someone elses idea of that database because mine was ugly..

I use default for my manshep. Edited my femshep though, fiery redhead seems a more fitting look for her.

I always use only the default faces, because they look pretty good in my opinion and I'm too lazy to create my own.

I do too. I can't make a Shepard that looks like myself, so I may as well use the most detailed model.

That's precisely why they do. It's a class they can relate to; it doesn't feel too different or abstract from what your average gamer would expect, so they almost unconsciously go with it.Missouri Tigers wrote...

I have eight MSheps, all custom. Four of them will be totally abandoned in ME3 because they're ugly.

I use default faces too.
Mainly because i can never get a good face from customizing compared to DAO (where the default faces a fugly) and i like the default faces.

Well I usually only use the defualt Character. It is honestly to time consuming or annoying for me to create my own, not to mention they always come out hideous when I used to. I really like the look of default Shepard.
It is strange, but I have no interest in using fem shep.

I frequently do, as custom Sheps just look weird to me.

On my male Shepards I nearly always use the defualt model mainly becasue it looks better then anything I can make, and, after using Sheploo so much, seeing a custom Shepard with his voice doesn't sound quite right to me. I don't play as Femshep much, if I do I always create a custom face.

It does? What kind? Are there secret powers I've been missing out on? How do you unlock them, 'cause the default ones suck!
I play a Soldier for several reasons:
1. I play the game for the story, on Easy or Normal, so I barely even need to use powers.
2. The trade-off between the amount of fiddling around I have to do in order to use biotic or engineering powers efficiently and how much more damage that allowes me to do isn't (from my point of view) all that great.
3. I don't really like active powers with cooldowns. I prefer games that give you strong passive abilities, so I don't feel like my character's ability to kick ass runs on a timer. Playing a Soldier is the closest thing to that.

I'm in love with the default femshep. The face fits well with the voice and personality, and is pleasant to look at without looking like a supermodel-gone-through-extensive-plastic-surgery. I wholeheartedly hope they'll end up using that face in the promotional materials.
Jane Shepard FTW!

Only for male Shepard. I can make some pretty damn nice female faces but every time I try to do a male Shepard he ends up looking derpy.
Plus, the default one has better textures.
This. I've never used the default femShep but I almost always use the default male Shep

I can't get interested in the character when using the default. I wish I could, because my own ManSheps are ugly.
