Please don't forget other platforms, such as WP7 and Android.  A ME3 smartphone tie in would work wonderfully on the WP7 as it could synch with your shepard and provide small bonuses such as +para, +ren, or a few extra credits.

I'm just saying, don't make it an iPhone/iPad exclusive.  Thanks

Was there any mention of one that I missed?

i hope they include Android if there's a tie-in. maybe Micro$oft will toss cash loads at EA so they will keep it a WP7 exclusive, which would be great for the 10 people who use a WP7 phone.

There have been rumours floating around of a possible smartphone companion game. Also, please don't turn this into a debate over which platform is superior, as all have their pros and cons and all are viable.

Yeah, I will be very disappointed with BioWare if there is a smartphone tie-in and it's not available on Android within a couple of months of the inevitable iPhone version. Doing an iPhone/iPad version only is tantamount to system warfare, which would be fine if Apple was paying BioWare and there was a big ONLY ON APPLE logo or something, but for BioWare to do it by themselves? Ugh. That's the sort of crappy behaviour I expect from Blizzard, not BioWare (but even Blizzard are past that now).

However, I'm not too worried. When the first smartphone game came out, iPhone was really the only smartphone platform with wide acceptance. Android now has significant market, and WP7 has some, so I'd be surprised if they were ignored.

If I were them I'd put the resource mining minigame (if god forbid it returns) on a smartphone app. Then at least you don't waste gametime on it and can do it on the go.

Speaking of which, does anyone know what the Mass Effect Galaxy game is supposed to add to ME2? I don't like missing extra content but I've heard it doesn't even add anything to ME2 that isn't already there.

I too would love a Mass Effect smartphone tie in game.  I can see them doing something for the iphone but unfortunately I cannot see them bothering with Android.  The main problem being the fact there are so many different Android phones on the market with so many different versions of the Android operating system.

I amn not bashing Android, I have an Android phone myself (Samsung Galaxy S) and love it.  But I do see the reasons why developers are put off from developing games for the platform.  So if we do get a smarphone tie in game then expect it to be iphone only I am afraid.
