with the extra description you gave I can see the slight resemblance. on the Slave the blade thingys are actually it's gun iirc. gotta admit I always like Jango/Boba Fett's ship.

Actually the Normandy (both of them technically but the SR1 even more so) bears a strong resemblance to the SR71 Blackbird.

and.... well you get the idea... point is if you look close / hard enough, spacecraft & aircraft all look alike (for very obvious and practical reasons).
