I kinda wish we'd gotten a new ship, in fact...

I miss that submarine feel of the SR-1.
This. I loved this.
I was sad to see the SR2's interior turn out to be a luxury hotel with the bright lights. Probably because Cerberus didn't allow for shore leave like the Alliance does, but still... the Engineering floor could definitely have been done up like the SR1's; dark, comfortable, and sleek.
I guess bioware wont pay attention to this but it seems that most fans agree that while the SR-2 was better, the artistic directiong of the SR-1 was far superior. I would suggest some way of getting the team attention but I assume the design of the SR-2 remodling has been done for a long time now.

If only. But Miss Vas Normandy refused to pose for it.
Come on, don't be so self-conscious about the size. Most women don't really care about that.

The Alliance may just have confiscated the property of their enemy Cerberus, wich means that it belongs to the Alliance now. But we shall have to wait and see what he writers say in ME3 I suppose.Ieldra2 wrote...
Actually no. Indulging in illegal activitiy does not nullify your property rights. The ship is still nominally Cerberus. You could say that Shepard has stolen it from TIM, but then it would be the correct legal procedure for the Alliance to hand it back to him. Besides, it may be legally the Council's if Shepard is a Spectre, for he'd have the right to confiscate it.Phaedon wrote...
The owner is not Shepard, but instead a racist, terrorist, and mass murderer who leads a group of incapable ultranationalists. Both that group and their leader and any property that they have is illegal as hell.
So, whoever the ship's rightful owner is, the Council as Spectre Shepard's superior or TIM - the Alliance it isn't.
Also, what Wolf_in_the_Meadow said.

I might be greed, but neither SR1 nor SR2 felt like my ship. In KotOR I fairly stole Hawk and killed it's owner before, so I really felt myself like a boss. Both SR1 and SR2 were gifts of mighty organisations, but you supposed to have it while you follow their orders.
A peculiar way to look at it. "It isn't really mine if didn't steal it."

The fact that you guys didn't like the SR2 was the point of the ship. You're not supposed to like it. You're not supposed to like working with Cerberus. You will feel more attached to it when the Alliance fix it up.
I think so too. It was supposed to feel off and cold to be in without your crew and filled with an empty-hearted organization.
To be honest, the SR2 had to grow on me, but I think it was supposed to be like that. It was sad to be stuck on a cold, big version of your trusty old ship without familiar faces. It made me feel bad for Shep and Joker and Chakwas were just sad symbols of the people I wasn't with, but as my old crew appeared on board or in the story, it started to feel a little more mine.
It isn't as warm and good a place as the SR1, but it is still your place.

But seriously, I just hope what you've done before in ME1/2 (i.e. your Shepard a pro-Council/Spectres or pro-Alliance etc) depends on whats been done to the ship, or at lest you get some say in what happens to it and Shepard doesn't turn out to be some Alliance yes man being ordered about by the likes of Udina.

I just iwsh I could nix both Cerberus/Alliance and have my own logo/crew and be independent
I'll work with both sides, but I want to call the shots.... heck, I've felt like I've done that since 2 anyways

I'm pretty sure Alliance hasn't missed the fact that SR-2 looks an awfully lot like SR-1. Even the name "Normandy" might be a giveaway. Considering that the blueprints of SR-1 are probably a closely guarded military secret, don't you guys think the Alliance just might have the authority to confiscate the vessel? You know, galactic security and all that?
Superficially looking like another ship isn't proof of galactic espionage, and they wouldn't know about anything else unless they had already confiscated it illegally. I think it would be inevistable that companies would copy the look of the ship that carried the man that saved the galaxy.

The ship, whilst for all intent and purposes a Cerberus vessel, is legally property of a legitimate company with no proven involvment with either Cerberus OR the inncident in Batarian space, as Shepard's involvement is merely conjecture at this point as it is pre-trial.
There is NO proof that ths is a Cerberus vessal unless the Alliance has already ILLEGALLY confiscated it and gone through it's PRIVATE databanks - and even this, I suspect EDI could get around.
I'm not a fan of Cerberus but seriously, if the Alliance have just taken the SR2 they're no better. I'm not saying they're as bad, but they're not better.
