Ahh yes, I haven't specified gaming platform. For PC's it's free, included in patch 1.1.

I can't see it being the Rachni queen, after the message she sent on Illium. If it was it would be such a huge kick in the quad. My guess would be Balak. I'm hoping it's Balak too.

If it's Balak I'll be a little annoyed. Even my Paragon killed him because for me the lesser of two evils option was to lose 3 human captives over letting a terrorist go. Basically I won't see the content on any of my playthroughs unless I specifically keep him alive for one.
I'd rather it be Toombs, that way it brings in some story for Sole Survivor Shep, and other background Sheps still know him.
I'll admit I especially don't want it to be the Rachni Queen. Much the reverse to Balak, even my Renegades can't kill her. I find them a very fascinating race and it would break my heart to have to kill her (yes I do know about the rachni husks).

Not sure if this has been mentioned (still reading through the pages) but, while I can see the Rachni queen going bad via more indoctrination or just being bad all together, she would never say 'you should of killed me when you had the chance'. Least not in that exact style of wording, that's very much corny villain like dialog. She'd babble on about the song and all around the wording would be more awkward and crypticy.
Really curious who it is though if anyone, kinda hoping its someone from ME2 I haven't considered.

It is still from ME1, and the quote was altered to omit references like "on Virmire" or "in the blitz" to avoid it being guessed to soon, it could very well have an entirely different wording as well.
