 Jeez, so many possibilities. I think having the Rachni completely betray you would be a bit over the top though, on the other hand though considering they were previously possibly indoctrinated by the Reapers perhaps they can easily be reindoctrinated?

Can't believe it is Toombs, he could die by my hand or shoot himself, so in the encounters there would be a 1/3 only that he lived.

And to take a guess I would say it would be someone most would recognise from a marked quest, IE. met in the main story line or DLC - so perhaps Balak, as an indoctrinated with "free" will akin to Saren, afterall we all know by now that Batarian space isn't the most funny place to be (not that it wasn't before for anyone else but Batarians, goddamn terrorists I say)

But I still have to guess on someone who couldn't die, just can't think of any.

Why would everyone be mad if it was the Rachni Queen (which I don't think it is)? There should be consequences for Paragon's too. I say this as someone that only has 1 Renegade file out of 20.

If you didn't have Wrex in your party during the mission (which I think is a bad idea to begin with), then no, Fist survives and pops up on Omega in ME2.

Oh well, not a problem for me then, I had Wrex with me every time.

Y'know, I would be quite happy if it was Toombs. Imagine if he ambushed you with his team, then you had the option of sparing him, and letting him join the team, so he could go nuts against indoctrinated Cerberus troopers.

Very likely I'd say given that Fist is your typical criminal. He also worked for Saren, which means he does have some contact with the Reapers.

Shiala
Uh oh Spaghetti-Os Thorian is back! I wondered why the heck Shiala was Green. And her becoming a new Thorian thing would be ironic. If for no other reason to spite those who wanted her as Romance Option. I'm not entirely sure about this though as it's a bit of stretch.

Ethan Jeong
Kind of wimp if I remember right. Also extremely difficult to Charm/Intimidate where you don't kill him. Not very likely.

Rana Thanoptis
Another very likely canidate. Seriously that lady is always mixed in some bad stuff. I expect if we run into her again in ME3 to be no different.

Also in ME2 I believe Garrus says something like: "I'm all for second chances, thirds though? Not so sure." And Mordin usually says "Dangerous. Would have killed her myself." Forewshadowing much eh?

Actually I thought was really odd there was no Renegade option to kill her in Okeer's mission. (And you do have to do Grunt's mission in ME2 as well.)


My bet is on Rana all things considered.

Not that I don't want there to be consequences for Paragon actions (that's a whole different discussion), but I would be disappointed if the Rachni queen turned on us.  The Rachni as they are represent something very interesting to me:  A completely inhuman, physically monstrous alien race that occupies a non-evil moral ground.  I'd hate to see that spoiled, even by something like indoctrination.

More on-topic, Bluko makes some interesting points on Rana. Given her scientific background, general desire not to be killed, and, as Mordin points out, lack of ethical boundaries, I can see her voluntarily going to work for the Reapers.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but the creepy prison inmate that's carving your name in their victims is what came to mind. If not I'm still curious to see what happens with this guy and if it's going to be like the DA2 murder mystery quest.
