@patsquinade Also, since discussion happening: deliberately tweaked quote to hide context. Too easy if "on Virmire" or "during Blitz" included.

It's VS! I knew Ashley/Kaidan was indoctrinated!

I'm assuming Blitz refers to the Skyllian Blitz. I'm pretty sure neither Kaidan nor Ashley took part in that battle. Possible red herring?

So tweaked quote could also mean it should be read -

"Shepard, you should have killed us when we stood before you, the songs of ours are getting soured again, we cannot teach our children"

Or related to Mordin's potential work in ME3, and Shep's reputation.

There's also Rentola and Imness to add to possible STG agents that could also be connected.

If it's the Rachni queen I'm gonna be pissed.

I doubt it's the Rachni Queen. Reason: In ME 2 once you go to the Ilium, the Asari messanger will say through the words of the Rachni Queen that she will fight the coming darkness (Reapers) alongside Shepard. If she were to be indoctrinated, I doubt she'd say "Shepard, you should have killed me when you had the chance." I doubt Wrex would say that either because you help him, Wrex, and the fertile female Krogan in that E3 demo. Also, he would understand the stakes at hand. If he understood what the stakes were at Virmire, he would understand anything else Shepard has to do to save the galaxy.

It could be what many people were saying and it could be Balak, but I think it's Vido Santiago. Zaeed said that he'd still fight on to kill Vido after the Collector mission if you went the Paragon route. I think we'll be helping him as a side mission.

Maybe it's the VS

"You shoulda nuked me when you had the chance!"

Or maybe the OTHER VS

"You left me there to die, man!"

Alright. I admit I didn't see the "ME 1" reference in the OP. So who do you think is the one who says it?

It says 'ME1 importers', not 'ME1 Paragon importers'. I'm guessing it's someone you couldn't kill at all in ME1.

Agreed, someone else said it earlier and am going to guess that it'll be Harkin.

FemSheps could get super pissed off with him in Mass Effect to the point of saying "Call me Princess again and you'll be picking your teeth up off the floor"

Then in Mass Effect 2 the closest we can get to killing him is allowing Garrus to shoot him in the leg... with the opportunity for Shepard to point out that isn't where they would have shot him

It won't be the VS, the forums will explode in rage if that happens, and ****** off alot of people. If anything it will probably be Harkin.

I hope it's not the Rachni queen, that'd be kind of a big FU for saving her. I hope it's Balak since we didn't see him in ME2, also makes sense after Arrival with the Btarians wanting your blood and all.

Balak would be the most satisfying. I can just imagine him saying that as you confront him aboard some space ship while he looks smugly at the remains of some obliterated human colony.

Wrex makes the least sense. If ME2 is any indication, Wrex made it very clear he considers me a very close friend and ally. I can't imagine he'd try to stab me in the back after that kind of welcome.

Shiala also makes little sense. She could have turned on you as soon as you left Zhu's Hope, but she kept her word and tried to help rebuild the colony. Two years later she's still doing the same thing, and asking *you* for help. I had assumed that Benezia was past the point of recovery from Indoctrination, but that Shiala was obviously redeemable through the fact that she was redeemable.

Yes well, putting the noble and honorable dwarf, compared to the underhanded and brotherslaying dwarf, on the throne in Orzammar, was a big FU to the good aligned player in DA:O - So BW isn't afraid of saying "FU" to the paragons, albeit it hasn't really happened that much in the Mass Effect series so far.

One of the nutty murderers who managed to escape from Purgatory. Image IPB  Hopefully, he does not entertain ideas of holding someone dear to Shep hostage. Image IPB

Read the OP, it's a character from ME, not ME2.

Or how about the indoctrinated Salarians, on Virmire? (The ones you COULD set free, not the ones that attack you instantly.)

Yeah Rachni queen is the first thing that came to mind... it'd be kind of lame if it was just some bit character of barely any apparent consequence.

I honestly couldn't take Conrad seriously if he said this particular line to me.

I'd just shoot him in the foot again and be on my way.

If it's the Rachni Queen, then she must have been indoctrinated during ME3.

It requires some skill and effort to not recognize that her speech implies to the rachni being indoctrinated centuries ago when you are standing next to the lifeless body of an asari matriarch that was basically saying the same thing a few seconds ago.

The Rachni Queen of ME1 is not evil and she is definitely not indoctrinated at the time.
