Don't get me wrong I like her character and I thought her job made sense.
However when you call her up to your cabin....seriously?!? The sweet secretary who you've only ever had dinner with once is now pole dancing in a stripper outfit becuase....ummm....yeah...

It's not like you have any deeper relationship with the other LIs before jumping into bed with them... Actually she is the only one you can have a date with. People probably don't take her seriously because she was written after-hours by a level designer, and sadly it shows.


I can't take seriously any of the romance options, even though I may like the caracters. Compared to other RPGs (even other BioWare ones) most of them seem like a brief one-night-stands.

Kasumi, don't get me wrong I liked her but she just felt out of place.

Miranda. When we first encounter her she's wearing what is in effect a skintight rubber suit and high heels. It's neither professional nor protective. She is SCREAMING fan service at the top of her lungs. I was almost embarrassed for whoever dressed her that way. She has a heartwarming story with her sister, and she has overcome obstacles, carving out her own path. Why couldn't that have been enough? You can make a character attractive without making her dress in spraypaint. Look at the other strong women in the series that prove it. Ash. Gianna Parasini. Shiala. She could have been believable. But it's so difficult to get past the Created Purely For Eye Candy bit.

^ Two of those three wear skin tight suits. Shiala's an Asari, nuff said, and Giana's an undercover agent in dresses and formfitting attire. Miranda's outfit shows off her looks, part of her "perfect" persona. even with tight outfits she's still the best squaddie in the game. ^.^

It's all a matter of personal opinion whether or not a character seems realistic to you, though. As a squaddie I think Miranda is very competent. I still can't get past her portrayal right out of the gate.

As for characters I cant take serious I would have to say Morinth for because she's seems a bit over the top to me. I get it your mother wants to kill you, oh you want to have sex with me and maybe i'll live because you sense something differnt about me. suuuure (although i will admit to falling for it maybe more then once:whistle:)  Thane is another one who is over the top and to me it takes away from his charctar. Oh I'm an assasin but im also religious, oh and Im dieing, and I have a son who hates me, he makes me feel like he has something to prove.

It was better when I said it. :innocent:... If it's any conselletion, I hate Morinth too. She seems so one dimensional, like there really isn't anything to her besides "Sex. Kill. Sex. Sex. Swords. Kill. Elcor art. Sex with Elcor. Killing an Elcor."

It got boring, it would be like if all Tali talked about was how much she wanted to kill the Geth and the varous ways to do so. <_<

i know right. The only reason i kept Morinith my last playthrough was because i wanted to A.) See if she was telling the trueth about me being the one which well  shes a big fat liar. B.) I wanted to give the collector base and I wasn't sure how Samara would take that, not that it really matters.

I'm working on a bachelor's degree in that field, and no, I don't take her seriously as a psychologist from what I've seen. But then, we've never seen her in a professional context as a psychologist vs. a crew member; she's always on deck, not in a private quarters where a proper counseling session would take place.

I agree with you on EDI for the same reasons. She's too.... human to be a computer. I even found myself getting really attached to her, and not having the heart for my renegade Shep to be rude to her, which should NOT happen with a piece of machinery imo.

Yeah... for me, this is the only one who really stands out. I liked Tricia Helfer's work, but EDI sounds too emotional for not having a limbic system or any other organic parts which can feel. Legion, too, really.

Though I enjoyed them, they exhibit non-thinking characteristics which don't really work for machines, even sophisticated ones.

Thane... Thane just could've used a bit less in the way of sunset-colored eyes, defiant in the scope. The rest of it isn't so bad.

Probably Jack for me. I like her as a character and she has a decent enough story arc I suppose, but it was never that believable to me that Shepard would keep that psycho around just for her biotics. I'll admit if I was really Shepard I would have probably missed her story arc because I'd have dumped her on the nearest planet once I saw what a liability she could be. Luckily it's just a game so she didn't screw anything up like she probably would have if it was real.

Thane was kinda out there, but I never really took him seriously anyway since I knew he was designed from the ground up to be appealing to female gamers as a love interest and had little other purpose. Again though, I don't dislike his character because of it.

Of course I take Conrad Verner very seriously. He'll win the day for us. He's possesses such important skills as... umm... wait gimme a sec.... uhhh... being blond.

Jack all the way really I just don't get why BW thought we needed a half naked psycho running round with more Cerberus issues what Akuze shep can't fill the issues role or something? She swears alot, has a bad attitude, isn't a people person, isn't a Cerberus person, kills people for lolz of it, and can't seem to dress herself properly and we needed this why? In reality a girl like her would've left the first time we docked she had her info why stay?

Kasumi from a tactical standpoint even she admits a thief in space for a military op is useless what was her entire role other then the grey box? Was she going to rip off the collectors lunch money or art while we raided the base? Thieves are in no way required or useful for battlefield operations.

Thane on tactics as well not to mention he's dying! He is trained to stay quite and take his time in killing his targets sorry you don't have all day on a battlefield or on a mission sure we could've sent him as a recon go to the base alone for a few days come back and tell me what you saw but we never did that so he's useless.
