I finally gave in and bought 2800 Microsoft Points...Other than the obvious choices (LOTSB and Arrival), which DLC's are the most recommended? Thanks in advance for any help :P

Overlord, and if you want more weapons get the Firepower Pack.

LOSB is must have. I didn't like Arrival but since it happens even if you don't play it, might as well.

Kasumi would be my next choice. Overlord isn't bad.

Kasumi blows.

Get the shadow broker one. That one is the boss.

If you have a few points left over get the firepower pack. The new guns are fantastic, especially the mattock

I have some I don't recommend: Every alternate appearance pack, ruin of the Normandy (its purely for nostalgia reasons) and every weapons pack with the exception of the firepower pack, as the geth plasma shot gun ad laser pistol are awesome.

Firepower Pack, Lair of the Shadow Broker and Overlord.

The rest aren't really worth it.

If I don't have Kasumi in ME2...she's not going to randomly show up in 3 right? B/C that would be an ultimate fail...I don't really care for Kasumi's character... I've heard she's not very exciting anyways... but is her loyalty mission any good? For the Overlord, how often will I use the Hammerhead (imo it was terrible to control) b/c I wasn't a fan of it... Is the story good? Firepower pack looks interesting... but i've already beat the game many times, I just haven't done the DLC's... Also... how many hours worth of gameplay is Overlord, LOTSB, and Arrival together... Thanks for your quick responses fellas!

Well Normandy comes witht he game George, either way that ones free along with Zaeed if you have CN.

Outside of the obvious like Overlord/LOTSB, I'd get arrival as its "canon" and depending on your tastes the weapons or alt.appearance packs.

Kasumi and Lair of the Shadow Broker is what I bought. And because I had some points leftover, I also bought one of the costume packs.

I'd also say Arrival sounds like it would have more impact than Overlord. Is there a reason Overlord is so popular?

To me Overlord set the standard for storytelling in dlc for Mass Effect. Then Shadowbroker came along and reset the standard for storytelling and gameplay.

Overlord has a cool story and a pretty dramatic conclusion. Kasumi on the other hand offers a fairly novel approach to the character mission concept. If you're a fan of heist films, you'll probably like this one.

I didn't much care for Firewalker, though it has its moments. Honestly, the only DLC packs of questionable value are the appearance packs. They're basically only retextures, with a few very minor tweaks to actual character models here and there. You're paying for what 3rd party modders used to do with PC games on their own, for free.

Everything aside from the appearance packs is worth picking up.
