Minus Bethesda?

Are they making Skyrim out of the goodness of their hearts?

No but they did not rush into it, they waited nearly six years to get their **** together and make what I believe will be a fantastic game.

You are accusing Bioware of ignoring fan feedback, and ME3 of being shooter-only.

EVERYTHING we know about the confirmed features we've been shown, directly contradicts this.

The title indicates the motive of the post...it's just inquiry do they listen OR do they not....not STUPID BIOWARE NEVER LISTENS TO US!!! TROLOLOLOLOL

I often wonder if our feedback here on these forums even matters, it seems nowadays any negativity towards Bioware or EA earns an automatic moderator scolding, and also does bioware not listen to their fans about not wanting a shooter only ME3?  It seems every trailer is a display of shooting with very few biotic powers being used the only one I can think of seeing is the Singularity Liara used during the Kinect demo at E3.  Point is does Bioware even listen to us anymore?  Or is it all about profit like every other company nowadays minus Bethesda

Considering trailers/marketing is usually different from actual gameplay, and the gameplay we've seen has a lot of rpg-heavier elements than ME2, I'd say you're just blind and not paying to attention to the info that actual matters.

Fact is, trailers don't exist to show off things like RPG features. They exist to have lots of shooting, explosions, and hot women. Testosterone-fests, if you will.

ME3 is far from shooter-only, and there are several threads with confirmed features that will elaborate in great detail as to why.

Remember kids, think before you post.

ME1 trailers displayed every class and showed the RPG elements in game as did ME2.  I'm not saying there will be no trace of RPG elements i'm saying there is an undeniable shift from ME1's RPG/shooter hybrid to 2 and from what i've seen 3.  If you can't see that maybe you should "think before you post".

There was a shift in 1 to 2. There has been a shift back to more RPG in 3. That's blatantly obvious in the new weapon mod and skill tree features.

Well from what I have seen it has been made more so a shooter BUT i'm not saying I could be missing some info that could sway my opinion and make this a completely obsolete post.  I hope I am being premature and uninformed i'd like nothing more than for ME3 to be incredible otherwise I wouldn't post on these forums expressing discontent and frustration with what i've seen.

I suggest checking the

Confirmed Features thread
Twitter Thread
Bioware Pulse; in particular the half hour demo with Jesse Houston.

ME3 is more RPG focused than ME2. That's pretty much a fact.

Yes, they listen.

That could have been answered just by seeing that they added the tali romance into me2 even though they cut it from me1.

This.

Edit: Its not negativity towards EA/Bioware that gets a mod scolding, its trolling, flamebaiting, and sheer idiocy that does it. Ive been quite vocal on Biowares future since EA took them over, and the only scolding I earnt was when I posted a pic in a troll thread.

I have a forum post saved to my computer of a moderator who locked a post for someone saying they dislike EA not cussing ranting and raving just expressing how they don't like EA and why...is that trolling flaming or being a jerk?

Post the url so we can check for ourselves. It might not have been OP doing the flaming/trolling/idiotic behaviour, it could have been someone else. Alternatively, they could havebeen doing it in the wrong forum. B*tching about EA in the charcater discussion forum would have been locked for being off topic, for example.

Well I truly hope it is and I didn't even think about looking at Twitter Posted Image so thanks to the moderator and you for bringing that to light, I just don't see why you can't ask a question or express concern on a FORUM without people thinking you're planning on burning Biowares buildings to the ground....Posted Image

Alright, give me a sec...but also there is no "Complaints about our company and or producer" thread so where is it appropriate to express your opinion?

If you werent trolling, then the topic would read "Does Bioware actually listen to fanbase feedback".
You added the "or merely in noe ear and out the other" which brought the tone of the topic down to insult/troll level.

Heres an idea for you. Get a job in a games dev company, and see how you like putting up with uninformed people  like yourself.

Edit: In the Bioware General - Off Topic section. Or even on the EA forums themselves.

Poor word choice doesn't always equal a bad motive, and I don't see how an expression gives the title a trolling feel.  If you look at my replys i'm more than happy to see more info brought to light and will admit if I was premature and WRONG in my statements.  You speak as if you've never made a mistake or have been misunderstood...perhaps you never have the oppurtunity and you are a very lonely person who is never put into social scenarios...perhaps that is where you have also aquired your snooty attitude.  It's obvious I am missing peices of the puzzle so I admit I was wrong for my accusatory statements.  Here's an idea for you learn not to come off as a ******.

Take a good, long hard look at my avatar pic. Do you see what it is? In case you are ignorant of Warhammer lore, its a troll slayer. Thats what I do. I take the uninformed rants of trolls, and troll-like people, and slay them. So I seem to come off like a ****** to the ones who I am slaying. Who cares. The easiest way you can avoid such a situation in future is to avoid trolling, and ignorance in general.

In technical circles, you are what we refer to as PEBKAC. The type of person who isnt willing to learn anything at all about the technology or processes that they are using, and instead just magically expect everything to work, regardless of its design or intent.

They at least recognize fan feedback. One of my ideas that I posted way back when regarding mech-style technology only being feasible up to a limited scale was matched almost perfectly with the introduction of the Atlas mech.

I figure they pay attention to fan feedback, but they don't pull and SOE and blindly follow the wishes of the loudest forum posters all the time. They seem to actually judge how much merit certain ideas have.

I just hope bioware missions actually relate to the story unlike the dumb loyalty missions in me2 that nothing to do with the main story except "they need to be focused". the pacing in me2 was horrible.

I know i'm on a videogame forum and this will sound like an oxymoron buttt that HAS to be the lamest nerdiest thing i've ever heard in my whole entire life...you slay trolls?  Like ha idk how I should even react thats just...wow thats definatly goin up on facebook as a status lol!  Like if you truly get your satisfaction in life by "slaying trolls" and thinking you win arguments on the internet I have deep sympathy for you, and truly hope you find a better calling in life.  If you're such a holy warrior why don't you take your talents to an ACTUAL job that needs to be done such as a police department or the military because your prideful self proclamtion that you slay trolls has me truly believing you wear a full suit of armor when you sit down at your computer every morning and you believe you do something great lol I don't like being mean but you are pathetic.  And btw that whole part about ignorance to technological processes made no sense whatsoever.

Yeah I enjoyed all the small planet missions on ME1, and I think the loyalty missions were kind of dumb I mean why would someone die because they had a problem...that laser saught out Jack specifically because her personal issues weren't squared away? lol

Now this is why threads like these tend to get closed. You guys just let your pride get in the way of everything, and instead of any type of information transfer or discussion, it's just some silly juvenile posturing with passive aggressive insults.
